LSAR, Lone Star Akita Rescue Lone Star Akita Rescue (LSAR) joined SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team. All the Akitas under the LSAR are located at our Rescue Ranch and up for adoption.

SafeHART is a under Animal House Project, a 501 c3. Akitas & Large Breed Dogs are still our Passion.

🆘🆘LSAR, Lone Star Akita Rescue and SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team needs transport help. We have two young - one male Chow and one female long coat akita located at a temporary foster in Angleton, Texas that we need to move to our offsite boarding kennel as soon as possible.

We will pay for all fuel costs. If you can help please send us a PM. This is an urgent request.

If we cannot get transport, maybe another foster who can help us get vetting for these two.

🎉🎉🎉 Adopted 🎉🎉🎉. Looks like his Foster is now his new Daddy!! Plus he is part of a pack. ♥️♥️♥️. Hi all! Just wanted to give you an update on Sulli. He is settling in at his Foster Dad’s home and has been introduced to his pack. ❤️. Per his Foster:

He has a good checkup at my vet this afternoon. We'll have lab results Monday. XRays were taken. He weighed 91 lbs. Based on the limited plaque buildup on his teeth they estimated him at four years old. They were impressed with the sweetness of his disposition.

He's restricted to my middle floor except when I walk him out to p**p, etc. Most likely his first injection will be next week. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🐾

So, here we go again. 😞 Is anyone missing this total “Lovebug” Long Coat Tweeny from the San Antonio area? He was living in a wooded area and an Angel saw him, wrangled a trapper and last night he slept in a warm bed. 🥰.

He is a total chill package. Pays no mind to other dogs. So far, great with everyone. Doesn’t like leash walking yet but did great when they checked him for a chip and of course no chip. 🤦‍♀️. Another one that will need a lot of grooming and we need help to cover his vet bills. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

We are setting up an appointment to get a 40DX (Heartworm) test done and vaccinations as his temporary foster has other dogs. He is safe, being fed and loved on. Please help us Help this guy. BTW of course he still has his jewels. He is the spitting image of my Yoshi. ❤️

Hi All! Update on Sulli. A long time LSAR adopter is fostering our boy while he goes through his Heartworm treatment. Most of the time is spent in a kennel but he has quickly learned how to “Chill” and be a house dog. It appears he has mastered it. We will keep you posted.

Her sister Akira is still available 🎉🎉 If you help us get the pups adopted at the SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team/LSAR Rescue Ranch we can open up space to take more Akitas in! 🙏🏻🙏🏻. We really need your help. Gemma will be 1 year old and has been with us since she was 8 weeks old. 😞. She knows her commands, walks well on a leash. She is a shepherd/akita mix.

We have adults and seniors who need families. Please help us help them. We are raising funds to update their annual vaccinations.

Hi Everyone! Sulli here. I want to thank y’all for being my guardian angels and helping finance my medical needs. Thank you to Montana White and all of the LSAR/SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team for the great care. ♥️. I know I have not been an easy patient. If you can still help with Boarding and Food costs that would go a long way. It is really expensive for the rescue.

They have so many other adult and senior akitas that need homes and help. It costs a lot to operate the Rescue Ranch. ♥️

I am nearing the end of the first month of Heartworm treatment and I had my neuter surgery and they gave me my shots. Surgery took longer and they did not want to stress me out since the worms are screaming. 😳 but my heart dhows no damage. So, my dental will have to wait til after the treatment is complete. 🙏🏻. A long time LSAR Adopter who loves Long Coat Akitas has agreed to foster me during my Heartworm treatment. He says his dogs will teach me how to be a chilled pup for the next 8 months of Heartworm treatment. ♥️. But I will be in a home. As soon as my sutures are removed, I will be transported to Houston. Anyone up for a drive? 😁. It will save on transport costs. Sorry for the delay in posting. I did not make it easy for Ms. Montana to take my picture. I am kind of naked in the back and belly and tail. 🤦‍♀️. She tried to leave some fur. 🥰

I will remain in the custody of SafeHaven Animal Rescue Team. They will be responsible for all of my medical needs til I am cleared for adoption or maybe a foster fail. 👀. Did I say that?

🎉🎉 Update!! 🎉🎉. We looked and posted and posted again to no avail and longer than the required stray hold norms. So, at the same time we put Plan B in motion and found a wonderful family who we know will be a Foster Fail by Saturday!! ♥️. New name is Kuma and he will be spoiled to death. Plus, they are long time LSAR adopters. ♥️♥️. Thank you to everyone who helped spread the word but most of all thank you to his Guardian Angel who saved him and then kept him safe. Takes a Village.
