Welcome to the BFAH family, Hank George!! We are so happy to have you!

This adorable 4-week-old puppy stopped by for a wellness check today. At this age, our focus is on making sure puppies are growing appropriately, monitoring their weight gain, and checking for intestinal parasites (worms), which are very common in young puppies.

One question we hear often is, "When can my puppy start vaccines?" While every puppy is different, it's generally best to wait until at least 6 weeks of age before beginning vaccinations. This helps ensure their immune system is mature enough to respond properly and build the protection those vaccines are designed to provide!

As we do our best to always have a doctor on staff during office hours for our community and surrounding areas, we have run in to our doctors scheduled continuing education courses are all scheduled at the same time this year!

We will not have a doctor in the office today, Friday May 29 and will remain open until 12:00pm to allow for medication/prescriped diet pickups and boarder pickup/drop offs. We do request all boarders be dropped off by 9AM to ensure they are comfortable before we leave. Our kennel tech will be coming back by to take care of your beloved furry family that is staying with us later this evening!

If you have an animal medical emergency during our closure, please contact Mississippi State University- College of Veterinary Medicine at 662-325-1351. If you do not have an emergency and need an appointment scheduled, please refer to our PetDesk app or text us at 662-798-0878 and someone will get back to you as soon as they can.

Tuesday was Maria’s 1 year workiversary! Can you believe it’s been a year already?!

From being the calm and collected voice on the other end of the phone to keeping all of us organized and grounded during even the busiest days, she truly helps hold everything together so effortlessly.

Over this past year, we’ve loved watching her come out of her shell, show off her hilarious quick comebacks, and become such an important part of our BFAH family. Her kindness, patience, and positive spirit truly brings so much joy to our clinic every single day.

Our clients are so happy to be taken care of by her, our team depends on her, and we honestly couldn’t imagine our days without her. Thank you, Maria, for all that you do and for being such a bright light to everyone around you. We are so lucky to have you and can’t wait for many more years together!
