The holidays are here and that means our pets are at risk for digestive upset. Pancreatitis, unfortunately, is a common and serious condition we see around the holidays. Heavy, fatty meals can overwhelm your dog or cat's pancreas. A single meal can cause serious damage, not just prolonged unhealthy eating.

Other serious toxins like chocolate, Xylitol, and onions can be deadly for your pet. Check out our holiday hit list of some of the worst offenders, and keep these out of your pet's reach.

With all the holiday hubbub and travel, it is a wise precaution to microchip your pet. Especially if you are traveling with your pet to an unfamiliar area. Unexpected events can separate us from our pets, but having a microchip implanted into your pet can safeguard their return.

We often look lovingly into our pet's eyes, but when is the last time you took a good look inside their mouth?
Dental disease is one of the most common health issues affecting cats and dogs. By the age of three, more than 70% of cats and 80% of dogs show signs of periodontal disease. This condition doesn’t just cause bad breath or yellow teeth—it can lead to chronic pain, difficulty eating, tooth loss, and even infections that affect vital organs such as the heart, liver, and kidneys.

It's a big day for Poppy! She was a perfect guest today for her spay and vaccine appointment. We recommend young female cats get spayed at eight weeks, but scheduling before your cat reaches five months is preferable. Though, cats can go into heat as early as four months! Waiting too long to get your cat spayed can result in both physical and behavioral complications.
Wishing Poppy all the best!
