We were out doing a lost dog aerial search early this morning and I caught this on a takeoff after a battery change. Not the greatest quality because it's with the search drone, not the photography drone, I did what I could in editing. I thought it was beautiful to see with the sunrise and low fog over the forest and wanted to share it anyways.

Here is a short video I shot on our trip to Maine a few weeks back. The weather was beautiful for flying. I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together. Starting to make the transition from Adobe Premiere to Davinci Resolve so still learning a bit but, Davinci is an awesome tool.

Just back from a couple of days in Camden ME. Do yourself a favor if you’re there and visit 8 Bells Pub. Traditional Irish pub, Guinness on tap, meat pies and trad music a few nights a week…and open 7 days a week. Cool comfortable vibe, awesome people, beer is cold and the whiskey is smooth. Stop in and say hello.

FYI, from Wednesday Aug 13th through Thursday Aug 21st, we will be out of town and unable to do any lost pet searches. We will be back in business on Friday the 22nd. It’s time to recharge and renew. Jameson can’t wait either.

Well, here we go folks, July 4th week starting. Please, please take care of your pets this holiday. Although we are ready to help do drone searches for any pets that become lost due to fireworks, we sincerely hope we don’t have to😜

UPDATE, from the owners this morning, Pancake is safe at home!!

To all our friends in the Forest City area, please be on the lookout for Pancake. We were called out on Sunday night to do a drone search, unfortunately after an extensive search we were unable to locate her. We need a sighting to determine where she might be headed. See info and photos below:

We wrote a blog post about scams around drone services for lost pets last year, but now we find ourselves having to bring it up again. There have been a lot of lost pet posts on Facebook lately, and unfortunately, we’re seeing scammers taking advantage of the emotions of pet owners. These scammers are literally stealing money! Just the other day, we got a call from a pet owner who had been scammed out of a significant amount of money with a fake drone company promising to find their lost dog. We can’t tell you angry we are about this! As our search requests have increased a lot in the past few weeks, we thought it was important to share some tips to help you avoid these POS scammers.

When a pet goes missing, we want to do everything we can to bring them back home, and scammers know this. They count on the emotion of losing the pet to cloud our judgment. There are many legitimate organizations that can help when you need them and Love 2 Fly Drone Works can help, even if it doesn’t make sense for us to fly the drone.
