We wrote a blog post about scams around drone services for lost pets last year, but now we find ourselves having to bring it up again. There have been a lot of lost pet posts on Facebook lately, and unfortunately, we’re seeing scammers taking advantage of the emotions of pet owners. These scammers are literally stealing money! Just the other day, we got a call from a pet owner who had been scammed out of a significant amount of money with a fake drone company promising to find their lost dog. We can’t tell you angry we are about this! As our search requests have increased a lot in the past few weeks, we thought it was important to share some tips to help you avoid these POS scammers.

When a pet goes missing, we want to do everything we can to bring them back home, and scammers know this. They count on the emotion of losing the pet to cloud our judgment. There are many legitimate organizations that can help when you need them and Love 2 Fly Drone Works can help, even if it doesn’t make sense for us to fly the drone.
