Meet Dingo 🐶

At 9-years-old, Dingo is looking for a patient, loving person to give him the comfortable retirement he deserves. He’s 63 pounds and a laid-back, independent fellow who may take a little time to open up—but once he does, he’ll melt right into you. ❤️

Dingo’s perfect day includes relaxing on a comfy couch, enjoying affection from his favorite person, and occasionally showing off his playful side. He walks wonderfully on a leash, likes other dogs, is heartworm negative, and is neutered.

He does chase chickens, so a chicken-free home would be best.

Recommended for all volunteers who participate in Dog Walking!
Ever wonder WHY dogs do what they do? Why does a dog freeze, stare, bark, or react? Join Kennel Manager Burgundi and her team for an information session on canine body language and behavior. Learn how to recognize the signals dogs give us and identify potential problems before they happen.

Grab your walking shoes and JOIN THE PACK!
We’ll gather a group of dogs and head out together for an adventure. More dogs. More walks. More fun!

🛁 PET GROOMING DAYS
Grab a brush and grab a shelter dog!
Help a shelter dog look and feel their best while giving them some one-on-one attention and TLC.

🎓 OBEDIENCE TRAINING
Pick your dog. Hit the agility yard. Learn together!
Kennel Manager, Burgundi and team, will guide the group through training commands and skills while you work one-on-one with your chosen dog from the list of available dogs.

🌈Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day.

🐶🐱It is observed on August 28 as a day to honor and remember beloved pets who have passed away. It recognizes the special bond we share with our animals and gives pet parents a chance to reflect on the love, memories and joy their pets brought into their lives.

Meet Momma Oprah 💞 (Momma O)

🐶Momma Oprah came to the shelter on July 1 as an owner surrender (couldn't afford to keep her).
She is 2-years-old and around 40 pounds. Her foster says she's a weetheart who loves giving kisses and soaking up affection.

🐾After having her for one day, her foster said she LOVES other dogs, and they have seemed seem to help her open her up a little more and trust new people.
"She would love to live with another doggie friend. and will need someone who understands she has boundaries at first and will need a few days to decompress (please please please research the 3-3-3 rule). .

❤️‍🩹Momma Oprah is heartworm-positive, but please don’t let that stop you from meeting her—heartworms are treatable! The shelter covers the full cost of her treatment, which begins with a month of antibiotics followed by three veterinary visits. She could also use a long term foster for HW treatment all paid for by the shelter

🐶Her foster would be thrilled to schedue a meet and greet with anyone interested in meeting her. She just needs some time in a home to decompress, and take in the new environment.
