Sugarfoot Farm Rescue Sugarfoot Farm Rescue is located in Columbia, Kentucky on 30 acres of land. We know each dog's personality and will find you the perfect match.

Our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and wormed and microchipped before they are adopted. We are a 501 C3 NO KILL, non breed specific rescue. Any dogs brought here stay until they find a home. If suitable homes cannot be found, the dogs stay on the farm in our sanctuary program. We are located on 120 acres and the dogs are allowed to run in our large fenced in areas. They are like kids on a pl

ayground and it can be very entertaining just to watch them play together. They have wading pools, Play Skool gyms, and tons of toys. It can sometimes take 6 months or longer, to fully rehabilitate a dog depending on their condition when rescued. Before we allow dogs to be adopted, they are given a health care check, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped.(all at our expense). Our policy is that the dogs can be returned to us at any time for any reason. We have placed hundreds of happy, healthy dogs into loving adoptive homes. We have also worked to create a networking program over several states to help with proper adoption and transportation.

What is wrong with this world!!!

A zoo in Denmark is asking the public for donations of unwanted small pets or horses to feed its captive predators.

The Aalborg Zoo said in a social media post that chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs were an important part of the diet of its predators, which need "whole prey," reminiscent of what they would hunt in the wild. The zoo said it would accept those animals as well as horses – the latter which can count toward a tax deduction since it's a donation.

"If you have a healthy animal that has to leave here for various reasons, feel free to donate it to us. The animals are gently euthanized by trained staff and are afterwards used as fodder. That way, nothing goes to waste - and we ensure natural behavior, nutrition and well-being for our predators," the Aalborg Zoo said. https://cbsn.ws/4lc3SL2

All Dogs Matter

We are a non-breed specific, no kill shelter in Columbia, KY. We rely on donations, since all of our expenses are paid out of pocket. Dogs adopted from us are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped before they leave. The dogs are not penned up but have large, fenced in areas to play together in. They come in the house if they want and are all part of the family. We know each dog’s personality and know which dog will be a good match. Usually, the dog picks out the owner.

We are trying to cut down on our intakes but it’s not working. Everyone has a story. The dogs are either owner surrenders or strays. We don’t pick dogs up, they are brought to us. If you have a dog to place, we can help you with rehoming. That way, you get to meet your dog’s new owner.

Adopt, don’t shop. Come and visit us.

People that say money can’t buy you happiness have never paid an adoption fee.
