Just FYI if anyone is able to foster or adopt please consider BARCs this weekend! It’s about a 30 min drive from our area & they could really use the help!

You may have seen our cute adoption promo posted an hour ago. We’ve deleted it. The situation at BARCS has drastically changed in the past few hours. We are now negative dog space. More than 100 animals have come in over the past 48 hours, with 60 of those arriving since last night. The majority are dogs, which are much harder to move around and house safely. Animal Control is on the way with another truck full.

Our kennels are full. Our intake temp kennels are full. Our offices are full. There is no more place to put our dogs. We are in crisis. And it’s terrible timing for a Friday night. Without getting too in the weeds, social media engagement sucks on Fridays.

We need a full adoption lobby tomorrow morning when we open at 11AM, or we are going to have to make heartbreaking choices for space. Our biggest need is adoption and/or fostering of big dogs. Fees are waived for all animals through 3/1.

Hope the New Year is going your way & you & yours are keeping safe & warm during our extreme weather of late!! ❄️

But wanted to share a post from your super awesome Pet Sitter Jeff who is going thru a tough time with his beloved pup who is only 7 years old!

Here's what he shared on his FB last night...

If you saw my post on Tuesday you know that Evie is very sick and the original diagnosis was bronchial pneumonia.

Well that has changed...

I received a call from the vet this afternoon and after further review and comparison of the x-rays taken last week and the x-rays taken yesterday the current possibilities are either a fungal infection or metastatic cancer.

Evie is currently scheduled to have diagnostic testing this coming Friday. The testing and treatment will cost at least $8000 on the low end and will probably go higher.
Sadly I don't have that kind of money right now so I have created a GoFund me page in hopes that you would consider making a donation so I can get her the treatment she needs and hopefully make her healthy again.

As always positive vibes and prayers are very much appreciated!
