Positive Rabies Alert -

On Tuesday, 10/21/25, the Blairstown Police and the Blairstown Ambulance Corps responded to an address on Kishpaugh Road for a cat attacking an elderly couple. Upon arrival the officer was able to attend to the wounds of the couple and requested animal control. ACO Robbie responded and was able to capture the cat. The cat had signs of injury to its face from a wild animal and was sent to the State Health Department lab to be tested for rabies. The test results were expedited due to human contact and visible signs of injury to the cat from a wild animal. The cat tested Positive for rabies.

The cat was a feral cat the couple had been feeding outside for the past several years. ACO Robbie would like to remind residents to be mindful of feeding feral cats. Don't leave cat food out overnight or unattended. Raccoons tend to be carriers and mostly feed at night and this will help avoid outside cats coming in contact with them.

🐾 I will be CLOSED for 6 weeks starting January 14th – March 1st, 2026 for surgery recovery.
🐾 Tentative first day back: March 2nd.

✨ Availability Update:
• Weekday (Mon–Thurs) appointments are currently booked until November.
• Limited Saturday appointments are still available September–December, 8am–1pm.
➡️ $20 surcharge per pet
➡️ Pets must be picked up promptly upon completion.

I can’t believe I’m making this post after only being open for a year and a half. I truly am so happy and grateful for all of you who have made this possible and continue to support me and my small business. ❤️🥰I couldn’t do it without you and your amazing pups! ❗️*please note with that being said. I am currently booking out about 4-6 weeks. I would highly recommend booking the next few dates. I do offer yearly scheduling as well. ‼️Also the holidays will be quickly approaching!
