Traditional VS mRNA vaccines for pets: Keep this list handy. A sick dog or cat is a vet's best friend. Sort of like people, keep a patient sick for a forever patient...vets everywhere admit 70% of the cases they see are vaccine injury. And most veterinary conglomerates still require over-vaccination of animals in their clinics. "Well Pet" visits are their life-blood, and those turn into "updating vaccines" most times (and most times, unneccesarily so) So it doesn't hurt to ASK!! :)

Same script as the kids. Annual boosters. “Just in case.” No discussion of how many the animal actually needs.
Cats get injection-site sarcomas .. aggressive tumours that grow where the needle went in. Vets have known about that for decades. Allergic shock after a shot is not rare. Dogs pick up autoimmune flares, skin wreckage and mystery illness after a “routine” visit and it gets written off as coincidence.
Then they wonder why the waiting room is full of cancer, allergies and animals that never bounce back.
Rabies where the law demands it is one conversation. A lifetime of extra boosters because the reminder card showed up is another.

Read the insert. Ask how often that shot is even required. Stop treating the pet like a second customer for the same product line.*Dog & cat vaccine list — current guidance (WSAVA 2024 / AAHA):**

🐕 **Dog core (all dogs):**
• Distemper (CDV)
• Adenovirus (CAV)
• Parvo (CPV)
• Rabies
• Lepto (now core in most areas)

🐕 **Dog non-core (risk-based):**
• Bordetella
• Parainfluenza
• Canine flu
• Lyme
• Rattlesnake toxoid

🐱 **Cat core:**
• Panleukopenia (FPV)
• Calicivirus (FCV)
• Herpesvirus (FHV)
• Rabies
• FeLV (kittens + outdoor cats)

🐱 **Cat non-core:**
• Chlamydia
• Bordetella
• FIP (controversial)

**Key points:**
• CDV/CAV/CPV boosters every 3 yrs, NOT annually
• Lepto is annual
• Cat shots go in the limbs — injection-site sarcomas are real
• Frequency matters. More ≠ better.

Ask your vet about TITER TESTING instead of blanket boosters.
