Now that we've finished the office paperwork, we have a few housekeeping items, rule reminders, and general words about the show:
🐎A HUGE thank you to our volunteer ring crew! You guys were killing it out there on Sunday. You made the show run!
🐎There are no horses allowed at the announcers stand, food booth, registration booth, between the booths, in the stands, etc. We know it's crowded and sometimes you might not have an extra hand to hold your horse to make a class correction. We strive to keep everyone safe at shows and appreciate all of you helping us!
🐎Riders may NOT run through the gate or out of the arena. We do not have the space and set up to allow horses to enter the arena at a run. Please wait until you're through the gate to start your run. Again, we're striving to keep everyone safe. Exhibitors that consistently violate this rule will be penalized at the show committee's discretion.
🐎TAHA hosts our shows at Alparon Park, which means that standing park rules apply to us, as well. Alcohol is prohibited on park grounds, all dogs must be leashed, there are no horses allowed in the maintenance building, and no horses may ride inside the park gates. We pride ourselves on being good stewards of the arena and want to maintain a good working relationship with the park.
🐎Please make sure you clean up manure around your trailers and strip your stalls at the end of the day. Forgot your fork? Happens to us. You can borrow the clubs!
🐎Casual dress is acceptable for all exhibitors; including tshirts. We encourage all exhibitors to dress appropriately and for a family friendly show.
🐎We'd like to commend our youth riders! You guys are showing in deep classes and sometimes things get a little western; both in the arena and the announcers stand! The correct placings for youth poles were reannounced, but are as follows, just in case you missed it: 1st place Junie Cowan, 2nd place Lily Grant, 3rd place Brooklyn Vinson, 4th place Alex Schultz, 5th place Jozie Fuller, and 6th place Ella Hubler.
🐎If you are still in need of service hours, our work bee is this Friday, June 5, at 5:30 at the arena. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
Thank you all for making our club a safe, fun place to show! We are loving getting to see old friends, make new ones, and to continue to grow and keep the horse show community in Troy alive! We encourage you to reach out with questions and concerns and appreciate all of you!
