Today’s drop‑in class is canceled - a few people who planned to come had things come up, so attendance dropped too low to run a productive session. We’ll start fresh next Thursday morning at 10am with the same Neutrality + Engagement Foundations class here in Waynesboro.

🐾 Drop‑In Class Starts Tomorrow!

We’re kicking off our first Drop‑In Dog Training class tomorrow (Thursday) at 10 AM at 642 Waynesboro Hwy, Waynesboro, TN 38485.

A few folks have had trouble with the Google form, so we’re adjusting:

🐶 All dogs must be up‑to‑date on vaccinations.

Here at Wolf Song Acres K9 Academy, we’re proud to start offering our new Drop‑In Dog Training classes starting this Thursday - July 23rd at 10am!
These flexible, no‑commitment group sessions are designed to help you and your dog build real‑world skills one class at a time — from leash walking and impulse control to behavior management and advanced obedience.

This Thursday’s class will focus on Neutrality + Engagement Foundations — helping dogs learn to stay calm around other dogs and people, build focus on their handler, and work confidently through distractions.

We’ll cover:

• Neutrality — calmness around dogs and people
• Engagement — focus on the handler
• Impulse Control — holding positions and settling
• Leash Skills — connected, low‑tension walking
• Place Work — staying relaxed on a station
• Real‑World Focus — working through distractions

📍 Location: 642 Waynesboro Hwy, Waynesboro, TN 38485
🕙 Time: Thursdays at 10 AM
💲 Cost: $25 per dog

✨ Last Chance to Join Our Next Basic Obedience Group Class! ✨

I still have a few openings left for the April 15th Basic Level 1 Group Class at 4:00 PM, and I’d love to fill this group so everyone gets the full experience of working around other dogs and distractions.

This is a 6‑week program, held at the same time each week, and each session is 1 hour long. Perfect for dogs who need help with manners, focus, leash skills, impulse control, and building confidence in new environments.

What we cover:
• Heel, Sit, Down, Stay
• Loose Leash Walking
• Recalls
• Engagement + Focus
• Polite Manners
• Impulse Control
• Real‑world practice around other dogs

📍 Location: WolfSong Acres K9 Academy — Collinwood, TN
💲 Cost: $150 for the full 6‑week course
🐶 All breeds & ages welcome

I’m excited to share that WolfSong Acres K9 Academy will be at the North Alabama Canine Expo on April 11th!
The event runs from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Limestone Sheriff’s Rodeo Arena in Athens, Alabama, and I’ll be there all day with a booth, mini training sessions, and plenty of time to chat with anyone who wants to stop by.

I’ll be doing a Horse & Dog Trail demonstration at 12:30 PM, showcasing the teamwork between horse, rider, and canine partner. It’s a fun look at a developing sport, and I’d love for you to come watch!

We’ll also be participating in Meet the Breeds starting at 11:00am, showcasing 25 different breeds of dogs and we will be representing the Belgian Malinois.

Throughout the day, the expo will feature several other demonstrations, including:
• Search & Rescue
• Agility
• Police K9
(These demos are not being done by me, but they’re definitely worth a watch!)

I’ll also have exclusive expo‑only discounts on training available at my booth throughout the day!

Whether you’re a current client, past client, or someone curious about training, you’re welcome to stop by, say hello, watch the demos, and enjoy the event. It’s a great day to meet trainers, explore vendors, and spend time around dogs and dog‑loving people.

🐾 Group Classes Are Back This April at WolfSong Acres K9 Academy!

I’m excited to announce that spring group classes are starting back up, and enrollment is now open.

Each class is a 6‑week program, held at the same time and location each week, and runs for 1 hour. These small‑group sessions are perfect for building solid foundations, improving manners, and helping your dog learn to focus around distractions in a supportive environment.

📅 Upcoming Class Dates & Times

🐶 Basic Obedience Level 1
A great starting point for puppies and young dogs learning engagement, leash skills, polite manners, impulse control, and basic obedience cues.

• April 2 — 4:00 PM
• April 7 — 10:00 AM
• April 15 — 4:00 PM
• April 21 — 11:30 AM
• April 23 — 2:30 PM

I came across a horse and dog trail competition a while back, and the teamwork between the two species immediately caught my attention. It’s a great way to build confidence, communication, and body awareness, so I’ve been practicing pieces of it with my dogs when I can. Today I took a moment to capture my personal horse, Pl***oy, and my Belgian Malinois, Disa, working through a couple aspects of the pattern together
