The loss of 2 of our danes in 4 days is just numbing. Athena was fine and enjoying life at nearly 10 1/2 years old. We honestly thought.she would live for ever. Then she bloated…..💔RIP Athena 1/2/2015-5/3/2025.🌈🐾🐾

Athena was one off Jett’s first purebred great dane litter. Shw was quite a character, but her best attitude was being a mom. She THRIVED being pregnant and having little ones to keep up with and butts to keep clean. She loved truck rides (in the front seat of course), her corner on the couch (barking in the middle of the night if someone was in her spot). She hated rain. Refused to go outside if rain was even in the forecast.

She will be dearly missed. Luckily she has a legacy of pups to carry those amazing genetics forward. In honor of Athena please post your favorite pic if you have one of her puppies.

Tonight we are 💔 after saying goodbye to our beautiful Lord Talan of Danes At The Ranch. He put up one hell of a fight, but to be honest, it was a relief to end his pain. He gave us countless joyful moments, being the most easy-going, loving, and sweet boy EVER. He sired 12 litters, resulting in 103 outstanding puppies, most of which look just like him. Until we meet again on the other side of the 🌈 bridge, sweet and handsome boy❣️🐾🐾
