Another day at the Madison County Fair and Rodeo for the girls. This year Channing, Jayde and Lillian decided they were going to have fair projects along with the horses. They spent additional hours after riding practicing and tending to their goat and lambs. Yesterday was their day to show! They did outstanding! We are so proud of them. Congratulations girls. Busy week at Cahill Quarter Horses! It is Madison County Fair week. Addie has been busy this past year with her Ag Mechanics project, she has built a gate. She also showed rabbits for the first time ever 😂!
She was 16th out of over 60 entries! Not bad for a first timer.
She has shown her gate at Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and finished off at Madison County Fair. She received a blue ribbon at every show! At Madison County Fair she won her class, was Grand Champion in her division and also won reserve champion showmanship! We are proud of the work she has done outside of the horses!

Home from The Prarie Classic horse show. The girls and their horses had some great goes, achieving some personal best scores! So proud of the work and time they put into riding and taking care of their horses. It was a busy show, but we also found some time to enjoy ourselves! And the team invented their own method of curling!

Congratulations to the following:

Channing Allen and Lucky Lil Colonel on some top three placings at their very first horse show! Chan and Craig compete in the ranch events!

Lillian Carmichael and Cashin In Guns had some top three placings! Lillian and Jake also showed in the horsemanship between her ranch classes!

Opal Keeling and We’re Talking Extreme had some personal best scores. This team has come a long way in a year! Opal and XMan keep improving each show!

Addie Allen and VS Fire N Ice had some outstanding goes. Addie and Iceman are excited to add the western riding to their list of events!
