Our Story

Welcome to The Barking Birch Pet Lodge: a comfortable, safe and fun environment to make your pet’s “home away from home” a fun and stress-free experience. Located two blocks off Hwy 23, our 14 acres of secluded, whispering birch trees, provide easy, convenient access. LODGING From the time they travel down the birch tree lined driveway, your dog becomes part of our family. From dawn to dusk, affection, love, belly rubs, and an occasional treat will spoil them rotten. Overnight guests will be let out a minimum of five times throughout the day, partake in daycare group play and have a scheduled “down time” from 1-3 p.m. to rest and relax. Dogs are placed into the appropriate play groups to meet their size, age and temperament. For safety, we insure all senior dogs play and socialize with staff one-on-one. DAYCARE While at work, you can relax knowing your pet is enjoying the day with us at The Barking Birch Pet Lodge. Daycare for your pet often prevents destructive behavior caused by boredom or separation anxiety. Those participating in daycare enjoy socializing with other dogs in a small, safe, controlled group. Each pet receives plenty of attention, loving care and an occasional treat. Playgroups are monitored and each dog is evaluated and placed in his/her appropriate group. For safety, elderly pets enjoy one-on-one time with staff. When dogs are simply to tired to go any more, its time for a nap. Those getting to the couch first, find themselves relaxing in the warmth of the sun. And, on occasion, you may just find the owner relaxing with them. What to expect at daycare • Socialization skills • Exercise and structured activity • Fresh air and sunshine • Caring attention • Frequent potty breaks • Assistance in eliminating separation anxiety The Barking Birch offers: • Owners live on-site and oversee all activities • Surveillance cameras with two way sound for late night security • Year round climate controlled comfort • Block wall dividers to give your pet peace and privacy • 14 secluded acres • 24-hour music to sooth late night dreams • Raised bed cots and/or blankets • Daily sanitization • Indoor and outdoor play areas • Single and double kennels for those wishing to board pets together FEES: BOARDING: One Pet - $27.00 per day $40.00 per day / two pets same suite $46.00 per day / two pets, separate suite Reservations are required. DAYCARE: One Pet - $18.00 per day Additional Pet: $15.00 per day Daily nap times are 1-3 pm Reservations are required. Frequent daycare programs available. RESERVATIONS: Reservations are required. Cancellations require 24 hour notice prior to the first day of the scheduled stay
