SPWD is a K9 company that specializes in the training & implementation of professional working dogs

Dave and Monique Smith formed Smith Pak because We love our dogs! We have spent years looking for the best lineage, the most awesome dogs and originally wanted them for us to work, train and do stuff with. We have grown to love the breed, established incredible mentors and friendships and those who are true breeders to guide us! We work with some of the best kennels in Czech to establish our lines

and begin our kennel here in the states. We strive to be the best we can be and do the best we can for each and every dog we have, that we get to have a part of and who touch our lives!

K9 Cuddles & Deputy Lieurance-12/11/2025 Successful Track. The suspect swam across a river and took off into the mountains. The team tracked over a ½ mile in very difficult terrain, maneuvering rockfall and downed trees for the majority of the track.

🐾💔 It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of losing our beloved Titan, the heart and soul of our kennel. After many incredible years of service, his poor body could no longer keep up, and it was time to let him go.

Titan has given us so much—his love, loyalty, and countless memories that we will cherish forever. He not only served as a remarkable working dog but also as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to so many wonderful puppies. His legacy will live on through them as they carry on his spirit and traits.

We will miss Titan deeply—his strong presence, unwavering dedication, and the joy he brought into our lives. Thank you, Titan, for all the years of companionship and for being such a vital part of our family, kennel and to all of the amazing families that benefited from your progeny. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. 🐾❤️
Rest easy, dear friend. You will be greatly missed.

K9 Ghost and DFC Octaviano, from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office, responded to a shoplifting scene where the suspect had just fled on foot into the woods. They conducted a 3 mile track where the suspect was located and apprehended. He was charged with shoplifting and possession of narcotics.

It is the Zyler/Quinn Puppy Birthday Week - Happy 3rd Birthday to the V Litter - Vader, Valor, Venture, Voodoo, and Vogue AND Happy 2nd Birthday to the T Litter - Truman, Trinity, Tiki, Tempi, Tillie, Trigger(Sniper), Tyson (Rocky)

Quinn and Zyler produced amazing puppies that became incredible dogs! I am so proud of all of them! We have 3 Explosives Detection Dogs, 3 Narcotics Detection Dogs, 1 Bed Bug Dog, and 1 Detection Dog in training…

We will be downsizing and starting to look for homes for some of our older working K9's and ones that no longer will be working. We will be screening all homes for the perfect fit for each of our K9's.

It was an exciting week - I got to spend a week in Seattle with this amazing crew and beautiful ship. K9 Chyro, K9 Uzak and I worked keeping this ship and the crew safe while it was at the Port of Seattle. If you get a chance to read the ships website and story, it is quite fascinating.

Happy 6th Birthday Chyro! You have been the best addition to the Smith Pak family! Not only have you produced amazing puppies, you have been the best Explosive Detection Dog for all of us! Everywhere we take you, you are the fan favorite. Every festival, sporting event, concert, etc…everyone asks if I have Chyro with me…you are such an awesome boy!

Happy 8th Birthday to my very first litter - My Z litter! You are amazing - 13 puppies born on Friday the 13th! I have learned so much from you and have enjoyed watching all of you grow and develop!

I am so very grateful that Titan and Bibaa produced this phenomenal litter…It was the first of so many great litters.

Happy Birthday to all of the Z dogs! 8 looks good on you!
