Macomb County Animal Control

11/01/2026

Well, hello November! 🍂 How did we get here so fast?!

We’re wrapping up another week at MCAC with 7 ADOPTIONS! 🎉 Seven lucky animals are settling into their new homes, and we couldn’t be happier! A huge thank you to the families who opened their hearts and homes to our friends. We loved seeing these perfect matches, and we can’t wait for the updates! ❤️

Of course, with every happy ending, we’re reminded of the ones still waiting….

❤️ RANGER & MYA NEED SOME LOVE! ❤️

These two have officially earned the title of our longest-term residents, and quite frankly, we think they’ve waited long enough! We know their people are out there. We just need a little help finding them! Even if you’re not looking to adopt, a simple share could be the reason one of them finally gets to go home. Check out this good boy and good girl and their adoptable friends here: https://www.macombgov.org/departments/animal-control/adoptions 🐾

🌶️ SOMETHING’S COOKING AT MCAC! 🌶️

Our 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off & Adoption Event is coming up Saturday, November 14, from 10 AM–2 PM!

For just a $5 donation, you can sample some delicious chili, support our shelter animals, and spend a little time with some pretty adorable potential best friends. Sounds like a great Saturday to us!

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, and have a great week ahead!

Please note: Macomb County offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 3 for Election Day.

🎃🐾 Happy Halloween from all of us at Macomb County Animal Control! 👻🧡

Before the trick-or-treating begins, here’s a friendly reminder to keep your furry family members safe tonight!

🐾 Keep Halloween candy out of reach, especially chocolate and anything containing xylitol.

🎃 Be extra careful with doors opening and closing as trick-or-treaters come and go.

🐶 Make sure your pets are wearing proper identification, just in case they sneak out.

👻 Remember, costumes, crowds, and spooky noises aren’t for every pet! Give them a quiet, comfortable place to relax if they need one.

And speaking of Halloween fun… meet our new friend Todd! 🧡

Todd joined us for some Halloween festivities yesterday and was an absolute rockstar! He was wonderful with the kids, loved meeting new people, and soaked up every bit of attention that came his way!

This handsome boy is available for adoption at MCAC! 🥰

Stay safe, have fun, and Happy Howl-o-ween! 🎃🐾

She's got a big heart, a whole lot of love, and absolutely no interest in following you to the bathroom! 🙂

Meet our independent queen, Lola! At 7 years young, this girl knows a thing or two about life, love, and the importance of personal space.

Don't get us wrong, she's a total wiggle butt and an absolute love bug! She's happy to shower you with kisses, wiggle her way into your heart, and soak up some affection. She's just not the type who needs to be attached to your hip 24/7. She loves her people, but she's also perfectly content doing her own thing. Honestly, she's got this whole healthy relationship thing figured out!

She's also a big fan of her stuffies, knows how to sit, walks nicely on a leash, and is very treat-motivated. She's got the brains, the beauty, AND the personality!

Now here's the part that breaks our hearts.

We've known this sweet girl since she was just a baby. She's been surrendered by her owners not once, but twice, through absolutely no fault of her own. And somehow, after everything she's been through, she's still got that wiggly little butt and so much love to give.

She's been back with us since August 25, and shelter life is starting to take its toll. What's even harder to believe? She has ZERO adoption applications. Not one.

At 7 years young, she deserves so much more than another day wondering when it's going to be her turn.

She enjoys the company of lower-energy dogs but would be perfectly happy being your one and only. She could also do well with cats given slow, proper introductions.

She's spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and her adoption fee is fully sponsored!

That's right! This sweet girl is ready to head home with an approved adopter, and her adoption fee has already been taken care of.

She's not asking to be the center of your universe every second of the day. She just wants to be part of it.

A little independence, a whole lot of love, and a wiggle butt that will make you smile.

She's been someone's dog twice. It's time she finally gets to be someone's forever.

We've seen what this amazing community can do when we come together for our animals. Let's do it again!!! Share this sweet girl far and wide and help us find her the forever home she deserves! 🥰

Come meet Lola M-F 10-4. 21417 Dunham Rd Clinton Twp 48036
