Over the summer of 2015 Hank and Donny started having regular play dates so we could have a bit of much needed rest (late morning bloody mary's and one fewer walk each week). Both of our dogs were in daycare regularly, but it didn't always work out the way we would have liked. Amy was working second shift, and she had a difficult time picking up Donny during the daycare's restricted hours. Noreen sometimes had to utilize her family to fetch Hank for the same reason. Not ideal, but Hank and Donny both loved the daycare so much, and the exercise and socialization was well worth the inconvenience. Out of this frustration a great idea was born: 24 hour a day access to your daycare! We bring you Stay*. After a year of looking for a space to open our new venture, life happened. Noreen decided that this was not the right time. They were adding to their family! And it was just too many new adventures at once. Fortunately, Sara loved the idea of 24 hour daycare for her fur baby Kirby. Sara is a firefighter, and she had all of the same difficulties getting care for Kirby during her 24 hours shifts. Now Sara and Amy are opening Stay at the Werks building in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood. We are some ways from opening the doors, but we can't wait to be a part of this historic and fast growing area of our beloved city! And we can't wait to see your and your fur babies at Stay!
