🧀Say Cheese!🧀 🎥It is puppy video day!🎥
The Tilly kiddos that have stayed for the Puppy Jump Start training program will strut their stuff today as I work on putting together their first video update of their progress for their owners to watch!
The Puppy Jump Start program is available to a small handful of puppies from most litters, and is a great way to get your puppy's training started off on the right 'paw" 🥰
Puppy's leave the program understanding these concepts:
• Clicker sound means “reward is coming”
• Verbal word “Okay!” means we are finished, and puppy is released from last command or training session
• Manding (sitting for attention)
• Standing still with all four feet, “Stacking”, for short duration
• Sitting for the opening of doors
• Sitting for food bowl placement on the ground
• Sitting to be picked up or pet
• Quiet time in play pen while household goes about daily activities
• Hand signal for ‘Sit”
• Hand signal for “Down”
• Verbal + hand signal for “Stay”, in short duration and distance
• Loose leash walking
• Eye contact and/or automatic sit when halting on leash walks
• Giving attention in presence of distractions
• Recall to “puppy, puppy!” inside the house or out in the yard
• Familiar with using a Doggy Door to potty outside
• Sleeps in crate at night quietly from 9pm-6am schedule
Interacting with objects/offering behaviors:
• Self-loading into wire crate
• Target mark “cardboard box” (stable surface)
• Target mark “wobble board” (unstable surface)
Body Handling:
• Acceptance of having nails trimmed with Dremel tool in short duration
• Acceptance of lifting lips to examine teeth in short duration
• Acceptance of face examinations (ears, eyes, mouth) in short duration
• Bathing and exposure to high velocity blow dryer
