To us, Halloween is fun. To a many dogs, strangers in masks, a doorbell that won't stop, and spooky sounds everywhere is not very fun.
The kindest thing you can do is keep your pup inside and give them a calm night in.
Set up a quiet space away from the front door,
like a crate or back room with soft music.
Give them a chew or lick mat to help them settle.
Keep the candy bowl out of reach. Chocolate and xylitol are toxic to dogs.
Your dog doesn't need to be part of the party to have a good night. 🖤
