In other Happy Tails, Tony and Torie went home last night! Their new Mom and Dad are so happy to have their babies home. Doing it right, by starting babies off in a small room so they can become comfortable with their new surroundings and people! Your new adventures start now! It was an honor to watch you be born and raise you, this is what makes it all so worthwhile.
Eleven and Whisper playing!
A little video of Goldie and Silver at their new furever home too!
Finn and Ella are making friends with the dogs at their current foster home. I wouldn't say they are besties yet, but they are getting more confident every day being around the dogs. These 2 bonded kitties are still looking for their furever home.
Abraham is such a good boy. He is affectionate, sweet, playful, silly and high energy (when it's not nap time). He was adopted but was returned as he was too high energy for their existing cat. If you are looking for a buddy, consider giving this big boy a home!
Happy Tails for Blackie in her new home, playing with her new sister! 😻
Thank you to everyone who has donated to Silver Lake to help out with the expenses for our moms and especially for their kittens born both indoors and outdoors this season! Silver Lake celebrated our 30th year of rescuing unwanted and neglected cats and kittens in September 2022. If you are new to our following, we do not have any paid employees - our Board members included - we are an all volunteer non-profit! We include the spay or neuter, all age appropriate vaccinations, Combo tests, and microchips for $130 for each cat or kitten! Your donations help cover the gap between our adoption fee and the medical expenses. We currently have a kitten, Sylvie, whose eye was so badly injured that we need to have it removed - an added expense but she will live and grow and be given a 2nd chance to find a wonderful forever home! So every donation large or small is very important to us. Additional expenses we cover are Flea meds, eye infection creams, ear infections, and deworming meds. Please remember - there are no "free" kittens - you will spend so much more in medical expenses than adopting from a reputable Rescue like Silver Lake Animal Rescue League, Inc. Thank you for following us on Facebook and soon all our available kitties will be found on our PetFinder.com page - www.silverlake.petfinder.com Please share our Facebook posts!
This mom and babies are doing fine with the rescuer. I will post updates from time to time to show how they are growing. We do not adopt until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered and are vaccinated and microchipped!
Kittens are feeling better and playing like crazy after a nasty URI.
A happy tail on this gloomy day...Hope is doing great in her foster home and loves her big brothers there. They love her too. She is doing great after her amputation and has excelled at learning to manage as a tripod. She still has to have her makeover surgery as she was too little when her leg was removed. She is growing bigger and stronger daily. Her foster family has fallen complete in love and will be adopting her!!
