Hey friends! 👋
I’ve got two 30-day spots in November for tune-ups, groundwork, or helping younger horses get more confident before winter.

If you’re looking for a longer program — like c**t starting or 60+ days — I have one opening for January & February, and then my 2026 calendar is wide open.

Whether your horse just needs a little polish or a solid start, I focus on building trust, confidence, and rideability — not just miles in the arena. 🐴

📩 Shoot me a message and we’ll talk about your horse, your goals, and see if it’s a good fit.

Sticky feet, soft heart. 💛

This filly wasn’t mean or wild—just heavy and unsure. Moving her feet took real pressure at first. She didn’t know how to go, didn’t understand urgency, and had no concept of personal space.

But once the pieces clicked, she gave me her full try.

Now she’ll move her shoulders and hips, sidepass, lay down, back out of a trailer—all with softness. She’s still a laid-back soul, but now she listens the first time I ask.

Some horses don’t need fixing. They just need help finding forward.

Big win for my little program this week 🤍

I finally got my round pen set up! This might seem like a small thing in the big world of horse training, but for me—it’s a huge step forward. One more piece falling into place to help me give horses and their owners the best foundation possible.

I went with Clearwater Fence, LLC, a local company that builds solid, high-quality panels—and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It feels so good to invest in something that will support both safety and progress for the horses in my care.

I’m excited for the groundwork sessions, the first rides, the trust-building moments, and the little breakthroughs that will happen inside this space.

Before this filly has even had her first real ride under saddle, my three year old daughter is already riding her around like it’s nothing. Cajun is such a special two year old. I’ve had her since she was a weanling and have poured a lot of time into her—groundwork, handling, and just letting her grow up with good experiences. She’s been exposed to all kinds of things and has always taken everything with so much try and softness. Today was one of those moments that made me step back and feel really proud—not just of Cajun, but of the quiet foundation we’ve built together. It’s not about rushing c**ts, it’s about preparing them to be trustworthy and thoughtful partners. And this sweet little filly is already proving what kind of heart she has. These kinds of horses raise our kids. And I’m so thankful mine get to grow up with them. **tStartingDoneRight

When Zoe first came to me, she was tense, disconnected, and wanted absolutely nothing to do with me. She was insecure, defensive, and even charged at me once in the beginning. I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever feel safe enough to get on her.

But little by little, she started to let down. She started to try.

Tonight was our last ride together, and I got to trot her around on a loose rein—relaxed, soft, and willing. Then her owner got on and had an easy, calm ride too. It was one of those full-circle moments that just made me smile.

Watching this mare come around has been so rewarding. The “hard” ones usually have the most heart—once you give them a reason to trust. 💛

Never stop learning.

I got to take a lesson today with Sarah Flerchinger, someone I really look up to in the c**t starting world. I brought one of my training horses and we spent time working through connection, boundaries, and the little details that make a big difference.

It felt good to be the student—stepping back, asking questions, and soaking it all in. No matter how many horses I get to work with, there’s always more to learn, especially when it comes to showing up with clarity, timing, and feel.

Grateful for good people, good horses, and the kind of help that makes you and your horse better.

Training isn’t about forcing a horse into shape — it’s about meeting them where they are, helping them understand the ask, and building something solid from there.

This mare came into training on May 28th, and in just a few short days, she’s already starting to make meaningful changes.

When she first arrived, she was emotionally shut down and disconnected. She avoided eye contact, avoided being present — like it was safer for her to check out than to try. She wasn’t being disrespectful or difficult — just overwhelmed, unsure, and trying to protect herself.

But even in this short time, she’s starting to stay with me.
She’s learning that it’s okay to feel something — that she doesn’t have to shut down or brace. When things feel stressful, we pause. I help her work through the moment, not just push past it. And now, instead of checking out, she’s starting to check in.

This is the kind of progress that matters most — not just what a horse can do, but how they feel in the doing.

Check out this before and after progress so far! Following our PEMF sessions, we've incorporated stabilizing exercises, posture correction, and relaxation stretches. While there's still work to be done, the improvement is significant, and she's noticeably more comfortable. I'm looking forward to seeing her continued growth. Myranda has been a pleasure to collaborate with, and she's been diligent with her homework! ⚡️

I have an opening Thursday morning the 17th 9am-10:30/11 depending on location. Please message me if interested 😊
