Prim has been back for some tuning in her training! After leaving here with her new mom she started to become buddy and barn sour, and figured out a few things she could do to get away with a few things. Since she’s been back we have worked on relaxing and using our brain, respecting boundaries, and now I’m happy to say we got out on the trail. She still has a lot to work on out there on the trail, but it was a success and I know exactly what we are dealing with and am now able to set realistic goals for her and her mom moving forward! Shout out to Bridget Todd for coming with to make sure we made it out of the woods 🤣💅🏼🦄

Coz was not a fan of the clippers at first, but were able to show him instead of telling him that they are not going to cause him harm. He stood willingly with a loose line for the clippers after that.
We moved on to our trailering exercises which he is progressing so well at. We started in a place where coz used his body to say “no” to the trailer. He would just stand at the back of it with no forward thought to get in it. He’s come so far but we still have lots to accomplish! He’s one of the best horses I have had the honor to work with.

Prim is literally making strides in her training. She came to us hard to the bit, and barn/buddy sour! Her mom wants to go on fun trails so working on her gaits again is going to be great long term so we can take her out and about soon! Prim is becoming softer and quieter under saddle

Prim worked on stepping into the ditch not jumping it like a pro jumper! Then learned how to back up on the ground. And then we successfully rode smooth gaits with a looser rein! She’s doing so well.

Prim is still learning to relax under saddle. She’s doing much better knowing that work can actually be fun and rewarding when she doesn’t try to take her rider where she wants to go.

Coz needs to go back to basics and learn not everyone wants to rush him. In hopes he can adjust his mindset of the trailer
