We took a few days off and to these guys it might as well have been 600 years 😂 Everyone was very excited to see us and we were very excited to see them too!!

We had the best few days off, exploring Chincoteague, spending our days on the beach, eating our weight in delicious food, ice cream every night, hanging out with seagulls and wild horses, and a lot of relaxing 💜

We are getting back to normal and will be answering all messages and phone calls as soon as possible, we have a lot to catch up on so please bear with us!!

A huge thank you to our pack for allowing us to get away for a bit and take a little break!

Last week we had the opportunity to both bring Fat Bob & Ace to their mom and dad’s wedding, and then make our return as guests!! We love getting to celebrate with pups and their families, but it’s even better when they’re our friends 💜💍

This is huge news for our four legged community!! What a relief to know good emergency care isn’t so far away 💜

WE’RE OFFICIALLY OPEN TOMORROW!!!!

After a very long road, Steamtown Veterinary Center will officially open our doors tomorrow!!!

Beginning tomorrow, 08/22/2026, we’ll be here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For anyone who is new to our page, Steamtown Veterinary Center is a privately owned veterinary hospital created to provide Northeastern Pennsylvania with emergency veterinary care when your pet is sick, injured, or needs immediate care.

We are not here to replace your regular veterinarian. We’re here to work alongside the amazing general practices in our community by providing emergency and urgent care, hospitalization, surgery, diagnostics, and continued care when your regular veterinarian may not be available.

Our hospital is equipped for:
• Emergency and urgent veterinary care
• 24 hour hospitalization and monitoring
• Emergency and urgent surgery
• Soft tissue surgery
• Dentistry, dental radiographs, and oral surgery
• Digital X-rays
• Ultrasound
• In house laboratory testing
• Oxygen support and critical care
• And more

For now, we will primarily be seeing dogs and cats. We may have veterinarians working who have a special interest or experience in exotic animal medicine. When those doctors are scheduled, we’ll let everyone know that exotic appointments or emergencies may be available during those specific shifts.

At this time, we do not have any exotic focused shifts scheduled, so for now, please consider us a dogs and cats only hospital unless we announce otherwise.

Starting tomorrow, if your pet needs us, we’re here, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Today is Morgan’s birthday 🎉🎈🥳
We have the day off to celebrate but something that would make this day even better would be support for our Sit & Stay Fund!

This fund has become one of the most important things in our life. Our belief is that no one should ever have to make decisions about their four legged companions based solely on their financial circumstances.

Someone new finds out about our fund every day, and we are so grateful that we are able to help our community, but donations are incredibly important and it wouldn’t be possible for us to help without them. Any donation, no matter how large or small, will go towards making sure every pet and family has access to vet care, food, medications, and supplies, no matter what life throws at them.

So help us celebrate Morgan’s birthday by helping out a cause that we are so passionate about 💜
