No! Well now's your chance. It's essentially two pork chops thick. We're talking THICK. The extra thickness prevents them drying out while cooking, making a juicer more flavorful chop! They're also great for stuffing. Locally raised by Codiac Farm.

"Given that illness in cows and dairy workers are mild (Mostafa et al., 2024) and no epidemiologic evidence supports transmission to humans for the 2024 dairy outbreak via aerosol, ingestion, fomites, or person-to-person (CDC, 2024b), reporting on the US dairy herd outbreaks in 2024 appear sensationalized, inciting fear, worry, dread, and highly amplified concerns about another human pandemic."

🧐🥛🧐🥛RAW MILK AND BIRD FLU: A DEEP LOOK AT THE LACK OF EVIDENCE FOR TRANSMISSION VIA RAW MILK. Check out this new important paper looking at the "lack of scientific evidence" that bird flu can be transmitted through drinking raw milk. "Serious errors in extrapolation are apparent in the treatment of evidence for H5N1 in the media and some journal papers that unintentionally or intentionally amplify risk."

The paper goes on to say that, when the "extensive body of experimental and observational evidence" is considered, it is clear that transmission of H5N1 to humans is "rare and sporadic" and happens "by direct contact of dairy workers with infected animals, not by oral transmission."

Tuesday our lady’s got yogurt for breakfast ! One of the benefits of having dairy cows is we sometimes have a surplus of nutrient dense raw milk. When this happen we make a clabbered yogurt to make a living food to feed to pigs and chickens. The high calcium makes fence egg shells and the protein makes the whites of the egg. This makes for an amazing feed that the animals love

As WY fresh farm continues to grow, we continue to learn. JM Fortier has been inspirational to the development of WY fresh Farm. Fortier's books haven not only been inspirational, but continue to be a constant reference over the years. (links in the comments)

I've recently applied for the Market Gardener Institute Masterclass Scholarship, which will aid our farm's mission to bring more abundance of fresh, nutrient-dense food to Wyoming! Here's to the 2026 growing season!
