Your Tractor Supply run could come with a new best friend! Join us TODAY from 10 am–2 pm at Tractor Supply in Chestertown for our pop-up adoption event.

Kittens Big Tex and Winnebago and our guinea pig Mr. Loaf will be there, with pups including Maverick, Uno, and a few others rotating through throughout the event. Stop by and see who’s ready to go home with you!

Happy National Dog Day!

Don’t have a dog to celebrate? We can help with that.

We currently have 16 dogs waiting for homes—from couch potatoes and professional cuddlers to enthusiastic adventure partners with very little understanding of personal space.

Adoption fees are waived through August 31. Come meet your dog.

We got our hopes up this morning. We really did.

Riley came back from foster. Emmie was already on her way. Someone was coming to meet them, and there was a chance that one of these girls might finally be chosen.

Then the meeting was cancelled. The potential adopter had adopted another dog.

Now Riley and Emmie are both here, and neither one even got the chance to say hello.

Let’s make this trip to the shelter worth it for both of them. Come meet Riley or Emmie today—and maybe this can still be the day one of them goes home.

FOUND PET!

This sweet girl was found on Lambs Meadow Road in Worton, Maryland. She has been seen bouncing between a few houses over the past couple of days. She is incredibly friendly and instantly purrs when touched. She is spayed but is not microchipped!

Mr. Loaf has made some questionable choices in life—most notably, becoming a stray guinea pig and setting up shop behind someone’s shed.

Now that his days of living off the grid are over, he is searching for a home where he can focus on his true passions: hiding, snacking, and peeking out occasionally to supervise the household.

Mr. Loaf is approximately one year old, comfortable being held close, and could live with another friendly male guinea pig. He is not neutered, so no lady pigs for this loaf.

Please help us find him a home before he starts looking for another shed.
