Ticks are no joke in northwest Indiana! Whether you’re hitting the trails or hanging in the backyard, make sure your pet is protected from ticks and the diseases they carry.
Eeeeeeek!
Heading to the Dunes? Time to brush up on tick safety, my friends! Ticks are present here year-round. Ticks pose a threat to visitors by carrying diseases that can be transmitted through bites.
So, what's a hiker to do??
✔️Stay on official trails, tuck your pants into your socks (fashion statement optional), and don’t forget to wear bug repellent.
✔️Remember to do a tick check! After your hike, be sure to check those nooks and crannies for any uninvited hitchhikers! If you don't want the Lyme, put in the time!
Thanks for coming to our TICK Talk.
