Hello pet parents!
My name is Karri. I am 50 years old. I am not married and I have no children. I have been a Professional Career Nanny for 30 years and in childcare for 38. About 16 years ago, I decided to go into Pet sitting and now in 2025 I have clients from Charlotte, N.C to Camden, S.C.
I have owned many pets all of my life.
Recently, the love of my life, my dog Marlowe, passed away with Hemangiosarcoma. She was like my daughter. She died the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2024. I did not know that I would not be bringing her home. She would’ve been 10 on Christmas Day 2024. We always celebrated Christmas and her birthday in one day with a birthday party. Christmas was not the same this past year and I don’t know that it ever will be again. I also became unemployed in 2024.
I am sustaining my life through pet care. I also recently adopted a stray cat in my neighborhood who my dog didn’t like, 😆. I’m used to having a reactive pet as Marlowe did not want anybody near me nor did she like any other pets especially not cats. So if you have a reactive pet, I can sympathize with that. I believe she grew to accept the fact that this cat was gonna stick around. I adopted Miss Myers after Marlowe passed away. It has helped me get through some of my worst days of missing my dog. Pets have been a source of comfort. My cat has been like my therapy cat. She keeps me busy and is very demanding not to mention the town bully 😬. I have not been a cat mom in about 2 decades and it’s different from being their pet sitter when they are yours. I honestly think I will always and forever be a dog mom. I will always be Marlowe’s mom and will definitely treat your pet like my own. I know what it’s like to worry when you’re not with them all the time. They become a huge part of our lives and basically our children. Pets are an extension of the family.
Pets make me happy and they cure all ailments and it’s something I’d like to retire doing once I’m no longer able to care for children anymore. I promise I will love and take care of your animals as if they were mine. Just like I did all the children that I cared for over the 38 years I was in childcare. I am all about structure and being on time and I want to satisfy and to please people as I’m a people pleaser. No one is as critical about themselves as I am when it comes to my work and I strive to do a great job. I am looking forward to meeting you all on this platform and to help you with your most prized possessions. Because I can relate and know exactly how you feel. Please allow me to be your caregiver. Thank you.
