We promote connection to self and the natural world through equine therapeutic activities & equine therapy with rescue & miniature donkeys Rescuing humans & animals through equine therapy, mentoring programs, & donkey rescue. Purple Donkey Human Rescue operates on a 20-acre donated facility, as part of the family owned and operated Cypress Farm Registered Miniature Donkeys in Chester, SC. Our farm

offers a unique opportunity for individuals to connect with themselves, others, and the natural world through the healing power of the world’s second oldest domesticated animal, the humble donkey. We currently offer employment opportunities, mentoring, and team building programming for youth and adults. As we complete our certifications and licensing for equine psychotherapy, we will introduce additional staff and programming.

Did you know that donkeys, valued for their strength and resilience, have been used in agriculture for over 6,000 years? Their ability to thrive on low-nutrient food and minimal water made them particularly valuable in arid environments, characteristics that are still valued today.
