FAQ Friday: Is a vet tech a vet nurse? 🤔

Short answer: Yes!

Veterinary technicians are trained medical professionals. They provide essential patient care, obtain diagnostics like bloodwork and X-rays, and administer and monitor anesthesia.

But instead of learning about one species, they're educated on the specific needs of MANY species! 🐾✨

At Vital Vet our Licensed Veterinary Technicians are trained to care for dogs, cats, reptiles, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and more!

"Is it too hot to walk my dog?"

Totally valid question, and we love that you’re asking.
A good rule of thumb is the 5-second rule: if the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand for 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws too.

When in doubt, stick to early morning or evening walks and protect those toe beans. 💛

The backbone of Vital Vet, fearless leader, exotic animal enthusiast, and proud owner of what might be the most chaotic pet lineup imaginable.

At home, she’s outnumbered by Linda the dog, Kitty Kitty Penelope the senior cat, Toby the conure, Legolas the three-legged beardie, and Dolly Parton the snake.
