For many horse owners, the Fall Season means hoof abscesses. Farrier Darren Owen of Indian Fields Farrier Service has recently been working with an abscessed hoof on a Percheron. Darren has been using a mix of Farrier’s Finish® and sugardine to help in this horse’s recovery.

Farrier Alex Mercer stopped by our booth at BFBA Focus in Stoneleigh and shared his latest Farrier’s Formula® success story. This older horse had a sole puncture from a rock in the pasture, resulting in a hoof abscess and a couple of days of soreness. Farrier Shane Westman demonstrates how to maintain this kind of sole-related injury once it's run its course.
