I am beyond excited to finally share this incredible news…

Y’all… ARLABELLE IS ADOPTED! 🎉🐾

Let me tell you a little about our gentle giant, Arlabelle.

Before coming into rescue, Arla had a home crop done to her beautiful ears 💔. In 2023, she was dumped while pregnant and gave birth to her litter shortly after entering rescue — and she was just a baby herself. Despite everything she had been through, she never gave up on humans, and she was an amazing mom, loving and attentive to her puppies every step of the way.

Once her babies were grown, we did what every dog deserves: Arla was spayed, microchipped, and brought fully up to date on vaccines. She was adopted… only to be heartbreakingly dumped again in 2024 (even though our contract clearly states dogs must be returned to us).

The second time broke her. 😞 She was terrified, her nails were severely overgrown, and the light in her had dimmed. It took months of patience, consistency, and love from her incredible foster mom before Arla began to trust again — and slowly, her goofy, affectionate personality started to shine through.

After that, we received applications for her… and when we say we were picky, we mean it. We declined several because they didn’t truly understand the depth of her trauma.

Then in November, everything changed.

An amazing couple applied and asked to meet Arla. We were honest about everything — her past, her trauma, the abuse she endured. Instead of being scared off, they leaned in and embraced her story.

Arlabelle has been in a trial adoption with them for the past couple of months, and she has absolutely thrived. She’s still learning, still healing — but now she hops in the car for rides, goes for pup cups, sniffs all the stinky ducks, and is finally living the life she has always deserved. 🥰

To this wonderful family: thank you for opening your home and your hearts to our goodest girl. We truly believe everything happens for a reason — and even when we don’t understand it at the time, the pieces somehow fall into place.

Christmas Warning:

In about 4 to 12 weeks after Christmas we are going to be seeing the "We need to re-home our pet" Posts. These are the folks who purchased puppies as Christmas gifts who are suddenly allergic, moving, having baby, don't have time, their kids won't take care of it, didn't think they'd get so big (etc....)

To these people I say:

*You didn't know you had an allergy? oops. Don't let the pet suffer. Get allergy medicine.

*You're moving? what city are you moving to that doesn't allow dogs? Bullchapville? find a house/ apartment / condo that will ALLOW your furry family member. PERIOD.

*Oh...you had no idea you were due to have a baby in 2 months? interesting. Get a dog trainer and suck it up buttercup, you're a pet mom and a human mom now, millions deal with this daily and manage just fine and so will you if you decide to. so just decide to do it.

*Don't have time for one 15 minute walk or to have a dog just sit next to you while you're home? really? So they're better off in a shelter than waiting in your house for you to get home? ok....get another dog to keep them company. find a solution that lets them stay in your home, it really isn't that difficult.

*Oh....you mean your 5 year old didn't step up to the plate to feed, walk, and scoop p**p? And this surprised you? I guess it's time for you to step up and be the model of responsibility for your own child.

*Wrong Size? not cute as an adult? not quite the personality you expected? look in a mirror... How'd you turn out? Should we send you back or make you homeless. Grow the hell up, you chose to bring this puppy home, not the other way around....but you can bet your ass "that" dog would lay down his life for you.. can you say the same for him or her?
