I had the pleasure of doing an in home lesson with our girl Daphne yesterday! She was part of our Everyday Excellence day training program earlier this summer, and it was so awesome to see how much progress she continues to make!

We went over helping her feel more comfortable with people coming into the home, practiced her place work and duration exercises, and introduced some tethered decompression. Of course, she also had to show off her stays and her awesome frisbee skills!! 🎉

It was such a joy to see Daphne and her wonderful owners. Having these relationships means so much to me! She’ll be visiting us again next weekend while her family is away for the holiday, and we absolutely can’t wait to have her back! 🤗💕

Look at Dexter go!!! 🥹 He’s quickly moved from leash pressure work and swinging into the heel position… straight onto the painter’s bench! This was his first painter’s bench session! While he’s had a few challenges adjusting to the transition here, his actual training has been absolutely stellar. He’s such a sweet guy, and we’re so proud of all the progress he’s already been making!!

Hey, I know that girl 😉 The International Association of Canine Professionals is truly top tier; one of the most inclusive and supportive organizations out there! If you’re not a member yet, I can’t recommend it enough. And if you’re already a member but haven’t experienced a conference, you’ve got to come see what it’s all about! The big kids were showing Dexter how settling time was done last night! At 9 months old and full of that teenage boy energy, Dexter’s lucky to have Kino and Atlas showing him the ropes! 😁 Also, once again, everyone loves Mr. Jer 😂🤣

So great chatting with Manny of K9 Parent Training about the Defensive Handling course him and Chris of Enlighten Dog Training offered at this years IACP conference! I took their Pet CPR and First course in 2023, and renewed again at this years conference!! I highly recommend them!!
