💔 Apple Pie’s world has been turned upside down…

At just 1.5 years old, this sweet Mastiff/Cane Corso mix was surrendered through no fault of her own. She doesn’t understand why she's in an unfamiliar place, and her shy heart is still trying to heal.

Apple Pie is heartbreakingly sweet. She’s so shy that she sometimes tries to make herself invisible, but deep down she just wants to be loved. When she finally trusts you, she melts into your arms for cuddles. She is house-trained, spayed, and gets along with both dogs and cats — she just needs someone patient enough to help her believe in love again.

It’s crushing to see such a young dog lose all hope before she’s even had a real chance at life. Apple Pie deserves more than this… she deserves a family who will see past her shy demeanor and will love her for the rest of her life.

Foster Found!

We have 2 three week old kittens that are in need of foster care for 5 to 6 weeks. They are eating wet/milk mixture and will need supplemental bottle feedings. They are using the litter box. 💔 Day after day, they wait… 💔

Some of our sweet dogs have spent months—some even over a year—waiting for someone to notice them. They watch their friends leave with wagging tails, but their turn never seems to come. Instead, they curl up on the same bed in the same kennel, day after day.

✨🐶 Meet Bruce! 🐶✨
Bruce is a 2-year-old, neutered, house-trained goofball who’s ready to steal your heart (and probably your snacks). He’s super sweet, loves treats, and already knows how to sit—making him the perfect mix of smart and silly!

Bruce came in with another dog and does great with her, though he hasn’t been around others yet here at the shelter. What he really wants is a family to love, a yard to play in, and a cozy spot to nap after his zoomies.

FOSTER FOUND!

We have 2, 3 - 4 week old kittens in need of a temporary foster home for 4 - 6 weeks. Snap pea and Popcorn are still being bottle fed every 4 - 5 hours but eating wet/dry food. They are using the litter box. We provide the supplies and vet care they may need. They are available to foster for pittsylvania county or danville city residents.
