We love hearing from our adopters on how our Ziva Dog Alumni are doing.

Hope’s parents sent us this cute video of her and her fur siblings!

Hope (Chihuahua)- she regularly flies between upstate NY & FL with her new dad and has become quite the traveler over the last year. But this video is with her and her big brother!

My name is Flatiron.

It is. Really. I didn’t choose it but I can tell you what, you will remember it, won’t you? You might not remember “Daisy,” “Buddy,” “Max” or “Duke” but you will remember my name! I appreciate my name might never be duplicated! That being said, my name is awesome and so am I.

I am about 7 years old but you wouldn’t know it. Technically I am a mature adult but I can bounce around like a young lad! I am just under 50 lbs and we think I am a mix of maybe Cattle Dog, maybe Collie, maybe Aussie, maybe Chow?

I am good with cats and dogs and I love to run around, play fetch, tug and interact with all of them.

I also live with children under 7 and I am great with them too.

I am housebroken and crate trained. I do need a little leash work and how to be more comfortable while walking on that thing, but I will learn.

I would enjoy a nice family, maybe another doggie companion and a fenced in yard!

My name is Daniel, if you haven’t caught on yet, I am the brother to Betty and Shep. I can’t tell you which one of us are the best, we are all pretty amazing.

I am a 4 to 5 month old, 35ish lb Shepherd puppy. What type of Shepherd you ask? Likely a German Shepherd but we might suspect some collie in my DNA.

Just like my siblings, I am so smart, so affectionate and just a cool dog. I am fully housebroken. I have never had a mess in my crate. I might not LOVE my crate but I know what to do in there too. I love toys and I love playing with the other dogs in my foster home. I am submissive and don’t want to upset anyone!

I already come when called and stay close to my humans. Kids and cats would be perfectly fine for me - I just want to hang out, get a lot of love and feel safe.

I am fun and active but I am not HIGH energy. I am a shepherd so I am highly trainable, would love to go on nice walks (when I gain some leash experience) and do things to keep my mind active but I can certainly chill out with the best of them.

I sound pretty perfect BUT I am still a puppy so anyone who adopts me will need to be ready for some jumping, maybe some attempted counter surfing and some teething behavior. This all comes with the puppy territory.

I am located in NJ and if you would like to meet me!

A single family home is preferred for me with a fence!

My name is Isabella.

I am a dignified and mature lady.

I have found myself in need of a home after living in one for most of my life. My family decided they couldn’t care for me anymore so I went to a really nice person who agreed to take me in. My family said they would come back for me... but, they didn’t. I am yearning for my next and final place.

I am about 8.5 years old and 65 lbs. I am a bit overweight; I should be closer to 55 lbs. With a little exercise and a good diet, I should slim down without a problem.

I’m a really loving girl who is independent, keep to myself and spend my day lounging and watching.

My future life would include nice, loving and dedicated people.

I was attacked by a couple of dogs by absolutely no fault of my own. Even so, I can co-exist and live with them but Ziva Dog Rescue would really like to see me be an only so I can get pampered and spoiled. I really deserve it.

I can walk on a leash (which would be good for me so I can shed a couple).

A fenced in yard would be great but more importantly are my humans of course.

I am housebroken and I don’t need a crate.

If you are looking for a loving and low maintenance companion, I am your girl.

Hi, I’m Izzy! I’m a 55-lb lab mix, about 2 years old, and apparently “full of life and pizazz” (their words, not mine).

I’m friendly with everyone — dogs, cats, humans — basically, if you breathe, I like you. I’m housebroken, crate-trained, walk nicely on a leash, and I even come when called (unless there’s a squirrel — they started it).

I love adventures, car rides, and couch cuddles. I don’t need another dog, but I wouldn’t mind one either. I’m just looking for my forever humans to love and make laugh every day.

So… you bringing the leash, or should I?

🩷 Pupgraded 🩷

Back on December 17, 2022 we rescued our little dog, Abby, from your organization.

We just thought you’d like to know how much we love her! She is an absolute sweetheart and we can’t even imagine life without her.

When Abby first came into our lives she was shy with visitors, and had anxiety, but over time she became a regular little social butterfly and loves almost everybody. Whenever we have visitors she greets them with “wiggle butts” and many, many kisses. So cute! And we don’t mean to brag but Abby is incredibly smart! It’s uncanny!

Since day one Abby has had a special bond to my husband, David, and when he’s home she follows him around, or keeps her eye on him no matter what. Otherwise she’s mommy’s baby and we have fun together all day! We don’t know how we got so lucky to have Abby in our lives but thank you for allowing us to rescue her!
