Update: Our sweet foster baby, Thane, has been adjusting to life without his littermate, who went to her forever home last week.

The first day, Thane's little whimpers echoed through the house as he searched every room and their favorite yard spots, determined to find his sister. He even napped on her scent-filled blanket in their pen.

The second day, he followed me everywhere, a tiny, moping Eeyore, clearly lost without his sister's lead.

Then, on the third day, he started taking an interest in his big half-sister, Zen. He was curious about what she was up to. Now, they've become best pals and partners in crime, or at least Thane thinks so as he tries to keep up with his big sister. Zen has embraced her little shadow, and they do almost everything together. Thane is still learning the ropes of fetch. While Zen chases her favorite toy, her little sidekick watches from the sidelines, then politely sits next to it, waiting for a treat. "I got it, Mom!" he seems to say.

This sweet, cuddly boy is still available for adoption at Green Dogs Unleashed. He would thrive in a forever home with another dog sibling to show him the ropes. Experience with working breeds is important. As a border collie, Thane needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation. To apply to adopt Thane, please visit greendogsunleashed.org. Please share!
