LET 2026 BE OREO’S YEAR 🙏
Oreo is the kind of puppy who quietly waits while everyone else gets chosen.

6 months old. Sweet. Gentle. Perfectly soft.

And somehow… still no applications. 💔

Before Oreo ever got the chance to be loved, she was scheduled for euthanasia, not because of who she was, but because of a broken leg. Her life was almost taken over something that was completely fixable. Journey Home Rescue Alliance stepped in and made sure that didn’t happen. We said yes to Oreo, fixed her leg, and gave her the chance she deserved.

She may always have a slight limp, but it doesn’t slow her down or hold her back. Oreo runs, plays, cuddles, and loves with her whole heart, just like any puppy should.

Oreo is incredibly affectionate and just wants to be close to her people. She loves couch time, snuggles, stuffies, and chew toys, and she never says no to a treat. She knows “sit,” rides great in the car, does well with other dogs, and is good with kids. She’s eager to learn and wants nothing more than to please.

She does have some crate anxiety, but she’s wonderful loose in the house and not destructive. She’s still working on training and manners, normal puppy stuff, but what she already has is something special: resilience, gratitude, and endless love. 💕

Oreo has been waiting longer than she ever should have. She already survived being overlooked once. Let's not let her be overlooked again.

THE LAST SAVE OF THE YEAR! 🙏❤️‍🩹
Miss Piper. The shelter posted her and her babies as she was a nursing mom. They then decided to put her babies up for adoption and put her on the euthanasia list. No joke. We tried to get the babies and were declined.

Well we saved Piper because NO MOM should be left to die after doing EVERYTHING she could to raise her babies. NOT when we know about it and heck no, in general.

If there’s any reason we start this mission - it’s for this!

We fought hard to get her babies but they aren’t allowed to come. Thats ok, we got mom.

Toby lives for his padded bed, snuggling into his favorite fluffy blanket, and gentle strolls before settling in his kennel for the night. He’s calm, affectionate, and happiest by your side. Please give this boy the loving Furever Home deserves. He is dog friendly. He definitely had a family at some point, he is very sweet and friendly and has done well around
my 3 boys (ages 14, 11, and he is very people friendly).

🎉LETS MAKE 2026 MISSY’S YEAR 🎉

As we step into a new year, a season of fresh starts and second chances, Missy is still waiting for hers.

Back in May, Missy landed on the “last plea” list at Lexington County Animal Shelter. One photo stopped us in our tracks. A soft smile. Tired eyes. A spirit that refused to give up. We knew she deserved more than an ending, she deserved a new beginning.

Missy has lived many chapters already. She’s been a mama. She’s been someone’s beloved pet. She’s known love, and she’s known loss. She carries scars from her past, but her heart remains wide open.

Before rescue, Missy was abandoned in an apartment and left behind. From there, she found herself on a cold kennel floor, waiting for someone to notice her. Since coming into foster care, she’s overcome a false pregnancy, post-spay complications, and heartworm treatment. All with grace, resilience, and that same gentle smile. 💔

And here’s the part that breaks our hearts the most:

Missy has been with us since MAY.

She has had just one adoption application and it fell through.

That makes her our longest foster resident.

Week after week, Missy shows up to adoption events with her tail wagging, hopeful as ever. She watches families stop for puppies and flashy faces while she waits patiently, never understanding why she’s still being passed by.

Missy was a puppy once too. She was small. She was wanted. Now, as an adult dog, she’s overlooked, but she is everything people say they want: LOVING, STEADY, GRATEFUL, and endlessly KIND. 💛

As we turn the calendar to a new year, we’re asking the universe for one thing for Missy: a home.

She is fully sponsored. She is ready. All she needs is someone willing to start their next chapter with her.

Our babies are fighting. 🙏

BECAUSE OF OUR COMMUNITY, our donors and our fosters the remaining 7 are doing good.

Magnolia tested positive for parvo but the others are negative and getting a TON of immune support as well as had fluids, the monoclonal antibody and exams. We are ensuring we do everything to make sure these babies stay healthy.

In Beau’s memory, we will not stop fighting, ever. ❤️‍🩹💔

✨ A NEW YEAR A FRESH START— WHITNEY IS READY ✨

A new year brings new beginnings, and Whitney is hoping this is the year she finally finds the home she’s been waiting for.

Whitney is a beautiful 6-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a bright white coat and the sweetest, most gentle heart. She’s friendly, affectionate, and wonderfully calm indoors, making her a lovely presence in the home. Whitney loves being close to her people and will happily follow you from room to room, content just to be nearby.

True to her Pyrenees roots, she has a thoughtful, independent streak and takes her outdoor “guardian” role seriously, keeping an eye on passing wildlife and proudly announcing anything unusual. On walks, she can be a bit strong-willed, but her charm more than makes up for it. 🐿️

Whitney is fantastic with cats and young children and has an incredibly gentle, patient nature. She’s recently started enjoying toys and zoomies, showing off a playful side that’s impossible not to smile at. She has shown no signs of aggression and is simply a kind, loving soul.

She will thrive in a home where she has companionship and consistency. Having someone around most of the time, and ideally another dog friend, will help her feel secure and confident.

Whitney is ready for a fresh start, a soft place to land, and a family to call her own. If you’re hoping to begin the year with a loyal, loving companion by your side, Whitney may be the perfect match. 💗

⭐️MEET BABE!⭐️

Babe is a joyful, affectionate 10-12 week old puppy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s playful, curious, and loves being part of the action, whether that means greeting new people, making doggy friends, or exploring everything around her.

She enjoys walks and is learning her leash skills, loves playing fetch, and happily entertains herself with toys. Babe is familiar with her crate and is doing well with a routine, and like any young puppy, she’s learning the ropes when it comes to potty training and household manners. 💜

Babe is a total lovebug who enjoys giving kisses and soaking up attention. She would thrive in a home where she can get regular playtime and continue building confidence through positive experiences. A yard would be a bonus, but most of all she’s looking for a family ready to enjoy puppyhood and help her grow.

She’d be happy with another dog to play with or as a cherished solo pup. Babe is sweet, smart, and full of potential, and she’s ready to become someone’s very best friend. 🐾

Alex is 9-10 weeks old. We believe he will remain small. He’s been in foster for weeks. He’s ready!

Alex’s favorite things are lounging around the house while his foster works or laying on her staying warm. He’s such a love bug. 💗

Well we shouldn’t have helped….
That’s how it feels to jump into battle to save 8 lives that NO ONE else offers too. 8 lives that sat with their momma outside til they were weaned. In a perfect world, they would have been dewormed and vaccinated while in their care. Unfortunately they were not…

We don’t live in a perfect world. We shouldn’t have said yes. What started as our LAST SAVE for the year turned into a nightmare.

8 puppies arrived yesterday. Only 7 are alive today. Unfortunately Beau, who was loved sooo dearly by his foster family took a turn for the worst after arrival. Despite an ER visit, and a team doing all they could - we lost him.

Beau was so loved. He got a warm bath, a pedicure, love and hugs. He was named and so so happy because he had the ultimate foster family.

In his memory, lives 7 more siblings. Today one tested positive for parvo. Yesterday all negative. This deadly disease sucks. There’s no other word. This fatal disease is debilitating on the fosters, our rescue, the puppies and financially a nightmare.

We are fighting for these 7.

The last save of the year has us in $2,750 to date. Tomorrow they get the antibody monoclonal shot and fluids. The last 24 hours has been ER’s and vet offices and tomorrow is Urgent Care.

What was supposed to be a heart filled last save has become their worst nightmare.

Please help us fight. 🙏
This will end a small rescue like us who strives to save dogs daily.

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…”

We had 46 adoptions this month!! The most deserving have a home for the holidays and a place to call theirs, many with their firsts.

Our hearts are overjoyed. We are blessed for the village and community who supports these animals, who works tirelessly to ensure they are NOT facing euthanasia or bad situations ANYMORE.

To our little engine that could team of volunteers and to our adopters, thank you! ❤️
