Modern Companion is a specialty pet boutique catering to both dogs and cats. Our retail store gave us a home to showcase our line of accessories to our local community. We also curate other products with fantastic pet entrepreneurs and small businesses. We have a wide variety of chews, toys, health/wellness products, and even stuff for humans. Every product sold in our store is carefully curated,

I’m still on the hunt for a second Retail Assistant to join our team and work 4 days a week from 4–6pm. I’m really looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and very outgoing high school student to pair with the new assistant we’ve already hired. I want to build a team that works well together and brings good energy to the store during that afternoon shift.

This role is ideal for a rising sophomore or junior who’s looking for consistent after-school hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) and the opportunity to grow with us over the next couple of years. I’m expecting a baby in January, so finding someone who can commit to this timeframe long-term is really important, as I’d prefer not to rehire again next summer.

You’ll help with everything from packing orders and prepping for Soda City to assisting customers, organizing inventory, and contributing to social media content. No experience required, but attention to detail, a friendly (not shy) personality, having a family pet at home, and a genuine love for pets are a must.
