Long time no farm catch up? Things look a lot different for us this year. Our initial plans were to commute to Chapin to continue farming this summer after moving from the RV and buying our first home.

But with a combination of fixing up an older home and having our first baby this September we've decided to take a little break! Justin is still growing produce and flowers, but this time on a personal use scale as we start over near the city. Our content may change to more "small scale/micro" gardening activity but that's the stage we're in right now.

Into the winter and next spring we may jump back into market gardening, but right now we are focusing on our home and new little family. Baby girl Eaddy coming September 2025 🎀

After taking the longest winter break since starting the farm, we have some exciting changes on the horizon!

The center of our operations will now be in Downtown Columbia, just south of the USC football stadium. After moving into our new home after being in an RV for four years it's time for some big shifts.

We are so excited to start the process of getting established in this new community. If you are in the Rosewood/Shandon or Hopkins area we are now even closer to you!

You can still expect sunflowers from us this year and even more specialized produce. Eaddy Acres is getting a makeover this spring as an urban operation on less than 1/2 an acre.

Stay tuned. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I know you guys miss the farm stand, so be sure to show Justin some love on Wednesday the 27th from 10am to 1pm. We are so excited to make sure your Thanksgiving has the freshest greens.

We are settling into our first month of home ownership and hope to have a regular schedule soon 🎉

Kale, Pak choy, mustard greens, collards, curly mustard greens and SO MANY TURNIPS.

109 Walter Mccartha Road, Chapin.

Big updates for our operations are in the works.

Sunflowers and it's almost Halloween?!?!?

This has been a toasty October, last year we had a very hard freeze early on. We gamble every year squeezing in a last crop, and this year was a winner!

🥬 Join us Saturday 10/26 for the last shop at the farm before we close temporarily.

🥬 10am to 1pm.

We are taking this temporary break while we move into our first home. The Chapin garden plot will still be our primary operation, but we will have a "satellite" spot at our new place in Columbia.

We've had a lot of confused and concerned folks reaching our after announcing our temporary hiatus.

🥬 We live in an RV on family land, where we farm. After 4 years of tiny living it was time to find a proper home.

🥬 The Chapin garden will still be active, but we will also be getting established in our new community. ( South of the USC football stadium ish area)

🥬 This is great for us and only means Eaddy Acres will be expanding. In our new home we will focus on high value crops that need more attention, while still using Chapin to grow bulk flowers.

So cheers to being first time homeowners 🎉🎉

The farm stand will be open one last time before we take a hiatus until Thanksgiving...

Saturday 10/26 will be our last opening after weeks of low visitation. Eaddy Acres operations will be changing because we bought our first house. We will still have access to the Chapin garden plot, but folks who live in downtown Columbia will be seeing more of us that direction 😉

Over time you can expect to see less of us in Chapin while we establish ourselves at our first home in Columbia. We will still be growing high volumes of crops in Chapin, but taking them with us to get situated in a new market.

It wasn't an easy decision, but having a property that we own is more important. Also visitors to shop at the farm have dramatically decreased. It's time to pivot our operations and own our own home.

So follow along for our next big adventure ✌️

We can't get enough mustard greens! Cooking them doesn't have to be a long process to stew them down and cook all day.

1) Roll multiple leaves together and then slice into 1 inch ribbons.
2) Sautee onions and add greens once onions are translucent.
3) Keep going until your greens have cooked down and become soft.

We love high fiber and vitamin packed foods!

We're downsizing some farm equipment because it's time for Eaddy Acres to buy a house! We love this work truck but we don't have the space or time to invest in this (also need funds for our first house)
