Parents Night Out! Tomorrow, November 17th
It's back!! Due to the overwhelming response from parents, we are doing it again for the holiday season! Enjoy a few extra hours out with your family and friends while your pup enjoys some extra playtime and treats with the Dogtopia staff! For no extra charge, Dogtopia of Dulles will be open 6am-9pm the Friday before Thanksgiving! Feel free to bring your pup's dinner or we can serve them our in house food.

As we gear up for Veteran's Day, your current Dogtopia of Dulles sponsored service dog in training wanted to say "hi" and provide an update on his progress!

"Hi palz! It’s your favorite dood, Cheddar Bay Biscuit with some new stories of all of my adventures and new wins these past few weeks! Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve been getting sooo many compliments from my trainer: she speaks so highly of me to everyone, and I can’t make her look like a liar!! I am trying my hardest to prove that I can be the most resilient service dog in my class.

On top of that, my weekend foster made sure to let everyone know how well-mannered I am in a home with kids and other dogs! They loved me and wanted me to come back, so hopefully my report card will convince my trainer to let me stay another weekend with my new friends! This is huge because this means I could possibly go to class and meet my forever person much sooner than they anticipated. Isn’t that awesome?

This week, we went to a place called Bass Pro Shop, which is a store decorated with realistic outdoor sceneries that include fake animals that can be quite intimidating. Not to me, though! I am a new and improved service dog who’s not afraid of anything ... not even a huge, creepy, beady-eyed animal that definitely won’t hurt me at all. Right...? Ha! We went there to take some professional pictures, so you know I had to bring my best behavior. I showed the photographer my stand and brace commands, which I perform to help support my handler’s weight when they are sitting or kneeling. See? I told you I had some good wins for y’all! Stay tuned for next time, and Happy Veteran's Day to all of the warriors out there! Thank you for your service, and I look forward to meeting my own warrior soon!!"
