A huge thank you to this amazing Girl Scout troop for donating cozy handmade cat beds to our rescue! As a special thank you, and to show them the kitties’ lives they were impacting, we invited them for private time at the Kitty Pause Kitty Cafe🐱✨ They got to meet some of our adoptable cats and kittens and see firsthand how their generosity makes a difference.
We’re so grateful for your kindness, our cats are already loving their new cozy spots! 💕

Tiny but mighty! 🐾 Meet Mili Acker, a fearless little adventurer wrapped in the tiniest, cutest package. She climbs, jumps, hunts, plays, and explores like a pro, always ready for her next mission!
Mili is independent and confident, preferring affection on her terms (bonus points if you bring Churu treats 😻). She’s happy to hang out for hours, chase lasers, dart through tunnels, and then recharge in a cozy bed or sunny window.
She’s curious about other animals, adapts quickly to new places, and will quickly make friends with cats, dogs, and kids. Mili is FIV+, but can live a happy, healthy life, even with non-FIV cats.
If you’re looking for a brave, boss-babe kitty to inspire you every day, Mili’s your girl. 💛
Meet Abigail, or Abby if you’re lucky enough to be her friend 💕 This gorgeous 2yo girl’s family had to move and couldn’t take her along, so now she’s hoping for a fresh start in a forever home.
Abby’s days are filled with chasing feather toys, batting glitter balls, lounging by the scratching post, and curling up for bedtime cuddles. If you sit still long enough, she’ll politely request chin scratches (her favorite thing in the world 🥹). She can be a little shy at first, but she’s so ready to give her heart to the right person.
She has the coolest circle patterns in her coat and is basically a professional model. Fun fact: she prefers to dine only from shallow bowls or plates!

Millie Mews is ready for her forever! ✨
Thanks to your generosity, Millie had her much-needed dental procedure and just got the green light from the vet to start the next chapter of her life. At 11 years young, this sweet senior has perfect bloodwork, a sparkling clean mouth, and a heart full of love. 💕
Millie is the ultimate low-maintenance companion. She’s happy to curl up beside you for a cozy nap, watch a movie, or sunbathe in a warm window. She’s gentle, affectionate, and enjoys the little things: a comfy bed, a few feather wand swipes, and Churu treats (her absolute favorite!).
If you’re looking for a mellow, loving cat who will bring warmth and peace into your home, Millie Mews might just be your perfect match. 🐾
We think she’d let along with other mellow cats with a proper introduction and she’s never met dogs or children before so we’re unsure how she’d do with them.

This sleek, charming boy was found behind a Mexican restaurant (see what we did there!). Burrito Taquito is a professional purrer, lap-warmer, and window bird-watcher. He’s the perfect mix of affectionate and independent. He loves his people but is totally content to vibe solo too.
He’s confident, curious, and we think he’d be happiest as your one-and-only pet or with a friendly easy-going pet at home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a little flavor, Burrito Taquito is ready to steal your heart (and maybe your burrito).

�Saving One Life is a volunteer run rescue and sanctuary based in the Phoenix metro area with a small but growing chapter in San Diego, California. We are a Never Killl rescue providing long term care for animals with ongoing health issues and hospice care for our cats with terminal illnesses.
At Saving One Life, our mission is:
To provide shelter and medical care to stray, abandoned, and surrendered felines for the purpose of finding permanent adoptive homes who were?at great risk for euthanasia.
To participate in the greater community's effort to reduce overpopulation by providing TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) opportunities.
To provide education regarding the need to spay and neuter pets, vaccinate and other responsibilities related to being a pet parent.
We save predominantly cats and kittens of all types including but not limited to: purebred cats, semi-feral kittens, underweight kittens, nursing mother cats, cats with behavioral problems, and severe medical cases when we have funding to do so.
Kittens and cats within Arizona, primarily from Maricopa, Pinal and Yuma Counties that are on the euthanasia lists.
Kittens and cats in the San Diego area partnering with local TNR organizations.

Our rescue cats are cared for in a loving foster home prior to being placed at our adoption center. We have six adoption centers located throughout the east valley.
