The StankGlea Story
Hi, My name is Diane Romano Escobar and I am THE pet sitter of STankGlea’s Houze. I have always had a love and passion for all animals and gained much experience working with animals as a Kennel Manager of North Shore Animal League in Port Washington, Several retail stores (such as Petco) and several animal hospitals as a Vet Assistant through out the years.
I established StankGlea’s Houze after obtaining my dog, Spanky. I created a page for him to avoid annoying all my friends with the pics of him i posted every second. (ha ha) At first it was just a fun page... sharing pics and photos of the love of my life, (who is now 8yrs old). A few years later, we obtained, Gleason. Thus changing the name of this fun page to Spank-Glea. It was all in fun as my obsession with dogs grew and grew. My pet sitting service began when a few friends would beg me to watch their pets. After seeing my post on the page and knowing I had a history of working with animals, they would ask saying I was the only one they would trust with their beloved friends. Since I was always looking for playmates for my boys, i decided to accommodate their requests and opened my home to them. Through word of mouth, we gained a strong following and became the choice of pet sitters for dogs under 20lbs. We then adopted Stevie, a rescued abuse survivor! This is how the name STankGlea’s Houze came to light. A mixture of all three names! As our following grew, so did our pet sitting business. We are now considered a home away from home vacation for your small dogs to enjoy while you go on vacation. Pics and video’s of your pets vacation can be enjoyed on our page, at your leisure, so you can see how your pets are doing during your vacation! It will create a sense of relief knowing you can enjoy your vacation and not have to worry about how your pets are doing. 100% of our clients return after their first visits, if not for boarding, for day care and play dates. Once you experience the company of Spanky, Gleason and Stevie, your pets will look forward to coming!
“Diane Escobar of Spank-Glea's Houze watched my puppy for a week during Christmas 2014. I was very nervous since Daisy is my first dog and this was the first time I was leaving her. She is with me almost all the time. From the very first contact we had I knew I would be happy with Diane. She made me comfortable and put me at ease immediately. When we visited with Diane and her 2 adorable dogs I felt the love she had for her dogs and other dogs. She is a professional with vast knowledge about dogs. Daisy loved her and her dogs. They got along and really did not want to leave each other. During the week I was away I bombarded Diane with texts making sure Daisy was ok. Which of course she was. Diane sent me pictures and videos to make sure I knew how much fun Daisy was having there. When the week was over Daisy was happy, well adjusted and better trained than before I left her. I really can not say enough good things about Diane and my experience with her watching Daisy. As you all know these dogs are our babies and when you are lucky enough to find someone to treat them like their own that is a special thing. I will leave Daisy with Diane again anytime and not worry a bit. My only worry is that she has too much fun and doesn't want to come home.
