Amy has been teaching riding lessons, coaching students, starting c**ts, showing and training horses for over 25 years. Giving c**ts a solid start and laying a strong foundation that lasts ,, for beginner riders also with an emphasis on correct horsemanship, safety, and having fun. Amy has trained multiple world champions and coached their riders to success.

Shorty got to go to her first playday and handled every single part of it really really well ,, even when the pylons were almost as tall as she is , she went right thru ❤️💙 it was Augusts first playday too and she got over her excitement in the warm up pen and had a great rest of the night. Aubrey and Belle had a beautiful barrel pattern and won Second in their class. Riley and Shiloh won their senior class barrels and poles and second in spur and straights. Dannie and Barney won first in their class in barrels! And second in poles and straights. Teagan and Jubilee had super fast runs too and placed second in barrels and straights! We had a really fun night!

The online show that my students and I have participated in monthly since it began 6 years ago, are honoring my late lesson horse Red (we lost him in the spring) by giving a series end award to the horse that has accumulated the most points in the series. Red carried many many students to all kinds of different awards in all different disciplines, and we are very proud to hear that our Cardi won reserve for the first Red Hawks Anasazi award in the series that ended last month.

Sooner Regional show in Chickasaw OK last week!!!! Kelsie showed Cardi in the all breed ranch rail and ranch riding classes and Cardi behaved very very well , and placed top 6 in every one of her classes. I showed Comet in the Morgan ranch rail and ranch riding classes again for the purpose of getting him confident in the big arena, and he got a ribbon in rail on the last day! He really relaxed by then and listened calmly. Justin showed him after all of that , on the last day , in the reining seat medal class and placed first and had a fun fast ride with flawless lead changes. Which qualified him to do it again at nationals! Justin also showed Jett in the ranch classes, one of Colleen’s Morgan’s, and placed top 10 in them all. Maggie showed Colleen’s Morgan Adam in the showmanship 17 and under, and did a great job and was the youngest in the class, it was a big class. She also did Leadline and she looked super fancy in the red western outfit I was so excited to put her in , while she was mad at me for it and told me she wanted to ride English. She’ll go English next time!!!! She also got to ride ba****ck in the “ride a five” and kept her $5 for quite awhile!!
It was a super fun show.

My daughter Maggie has been taking lessons with my friend Colleen (because Maggie doesn’t listen to me her dumb mom) on her wonderful Morgan gelding Adam and Maggie showed him in the walk whoa class at the Morgan horse show and in the big walk trot class all by herself hunt seat. Posting the correct diagonal and navigating thru the group. For the first time ever!! She also showed showmanship and won the class! My students Justin and Izabella got to show Morgans too,,. Izabella won her gigantic lope class , as the youngest in the class! She won second in equitation and won the lope championship class. Justin showed trail, ranch riding and ranch rail with me and comet and he and I swapped for 7th and 8th place all day. We had a blast!! Thank you Colleen!

Comet got to go to the Morgan horse club schooling show yesterday, his second show there. They don’t offer a reining class and I showed him in the Ranch classes. Comet is a Morgan Reiner and gets so excited and speedy and bracey in the show pen, I decided to enter the ranch classes to give him something new to think about, something slower with a different feel to it. It’s working!! Best show yet. Way less brace, not as strong or heavy, slower and listened.

Lots of my clients bought new horses this summer and I have a few new horses in training too and this Parade prep clinic was a fun new experience for all of them plus a few others that have been here before and are working on conquering fears. It was a great day!

Shorty has grown up a lot this last month of camp! She’s turning into a nice ride AND recently was ridden in her first parade. She’s a lot of fun!

Boo is the youngest, least amount of under saddle time c**t that I had in training recently and she got to participate in camp too and got over her excitement of cows , rode well in the group , and is really coming along well.
