5 month old Tumble is looking for her forever home. Her last application backed out just before the meet and we are sad because they seemed perfect for her. Being born with no front legs, well except for that partial chicken wing, Tumble gets herself around pretty well. We tried her in a wheelchair and she protested on multiple occasions. Didn't even want to try.. she has much more fun launching her self in the air, standing on her hind legs or slithering to where she wants to go. Since her sister was adopted, she has come out of her shell. She is loving all the play time with her foster fur siblings who think rolling around with her is a professional sport. It's safe to say she is great with dogs! Tumble is going to need a special home. A family who will work with her disability and maybe when she gets older she will do the wheelchair or even a prosthetic.

Akira!! Another dog that so many wanted when she came in after being shot multiple times. Yes, she had a bad story but she has put it behind her.

The Yellowjackets have been posted for 2 weeks and not 1 single application for any one of them. How do 8 weeks old babies not have any interest? They are very well behaved little ones who got their second chance after being found as newborns in a closet. Black dog syndrome? We sure hope not because they are just amazing little pitties!

Happy 4th of July! Brian is out celebrating his freedom from the shelter but is pretty sad he has yet to find his forever home.

Brian is a really fun dog who would like an active family who maybe has a fenced yard so he can run around and play. He is a young boy just over a year old. He is dog friendly too! We dont know his mix but we would say Super Mutt and is about 40 pounds.

Havarti needed a new foster back about a month ago. She was moved to one of experienced fosters who knows how to show her babies a good time. Havarti is a wonderful girl who is still looking for her forever home. Here's what her foster mom has to say about her ----

"I think it is about time to introduce everyone to my new foster. She is not new to Outcast Rescue, though. Havarti came to the rescue with her mom and litter mates and was adopted out as a puppy. The family that adopted her was going through a divorce so she was returned to the rescue after 4 years.
That was 2 years ago.
I’m having a difficult time understanding how this love bug has not yet found her actual forever home. She loves people and wags here tail like crazy wheneverer she sees anyone! She also loves to go for walks and does very well on a leash.
She loves toys and is great at fetch, she will just drop the ball right at your feet and wait for it to be thrown.
I have introduced her to my resident dog, Ranger, and they get along although neither dog is overly interested in the other.
Havarti is up to date on core vaccines, has been receiving monthly heart worm and flea and tick preventative , is house trained and knows the basic commands.

We are ready to begin the journey of finding MJ's forever home. Please be sure you read the entire post before applying for her just because she has a story or because she looks like a German Shepherd.

MJ came to us after being brutally abused by a human. All 4 of her legs were broken, several healed ribs. At the time, she was just a tiny baby. She has had 2 major orthopedic surgeries that she is all healed from. MJ is now 8 months old and is maturing. She is about 40lbs. Yes, she is a wonderful dog. A wonderful dog who needs to be in the right home as the dog is she now is a bit different than the dog she came in as. Even though she is not a pure bred shepherd, she still acts like one and these dogs need jobs. She is active and needs that outlet. MJ is absolutely a love. She is amazing on leash and enjoys cuddling. Overall she is a social butterfly. She does have some quirks and we have to be fully transparent so we get this right when choosing her forever home.

😿 She despises cats so a cat free home is a must.
🐶 She loves the company of other dogs until food or toys are involved. She would need to be fed separately if there are other dogs in the home. Toys when she has some alone time.
👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 Young children is a hard no. She doesn't appreciate their company and will snap at them. She has been amazing with the teens in her foster home.
🏘 She is almost housebroken but does have the occasional accident.
🥄 She should be on a daily joint supplement like Dasuquin.

MJ loves to work on training. Her focus is great and she truly enjoys learning new things.

THIS JUST IN!! We’ve confirmed that adoptable Havarti will be at Happy Tails Happy hour TONIGHT at Wild Turkey Grill. The has been looking for a home for TWO YEARS after being returned due to a change in family dynamics. Havarti LOVES everyone she meets and her wiggly body and tail gives it away! She is dog friendly and cat friendly. She previously did live with children as well! She’s a middle aged lady that is just as excited to snuggle up on the couch as she is to go for a long walk! Come meet her tonight!

**it is going to be warm tonight, please if you’re coming and bringing your dog that your pup isn’t overly sensitive to the heat. We will have lots of water around for the pups, but your pups safe you is our priority. If your pup is not great in the heat, it’s ok to leave them home.
