🍔 Burger Bun 🍔 participated in PK’s 5K fundraiser today! She rolled through the 5K in style and was loving being out and about 💗

*Disclaimer - not all rabbits enjoy 1) being in a stroller or 2) interacting with strangers. Burger Bun is extremely friendly and also thoroughly enjoys being in the stroller. She napped, groomed herself, and munched on her hay throughout the 5K 🐰

🐰🌸 With Easter being tomorrow, here is a friendly PSA from your neighborhood (and beyond) rabbit program here at PK:

🎉 Rabbits are longterm commitments that require specialized care and financial investment 🎉

Baby rabbits are so scrumptious and smoochable. But remember - they grow up to become larger, hormonal, potentially destructive, and expensive adult rabbits. We absolutely love and adore our program rabbits and will only adopt them out to homes with proper setups as well as knowledge about what is involved with owning a bun.

🛑 We do NOT adopt out our small animals as a gift for someone else. Regardless of what holiday it is - birthday, Easter, Christmas. 🛑

Our program operates by appointment only, and we do not accommodate same day adoptions for individuals who stop by randomly looking to take home a rabbit. We operate this way out of the best interest of our rabbits and guinea pigs.

An update about the severely emaciated sweetie who came to us this weekend after being found outside:

🍯 Honey girl passed yesterday afternoon in our bunny manager’s home, comfortably and peacefully. She took a glorious nap that she didn’t wake up from. May we all experience that type of comfort when we near the end of our life. Godspeed, sweet angel. 🌈
