Miss Diamond was here for some well-deserved R&R from ranch life and has recently departed for closer facilities near her owner. Diamond is truly a sweet horse - kind, gentle, she nickers when you come outside, and loves alfalfa cubes! šŸ’š She was my first horse to try pasture boarding here at the Paard Yard and also to test out the shelter we bought for the area. She gave it a hoof of approval! Have fun at your new digs, and we hope to see you at some shows this summer!

We bid a fond adieu to EZ and Stryder, eagerly anticipating their return next winter for their seasonal respite. The exemplary behavior and amiable disposition exhibited by these two endearing boys made them a joy to be around. Their appreciation for treats and affection, as well as their zest for exploring the pasture and barns, were heartwarming. They will be sorely missed! Until we meet again in the show ringā€¦! Even dogs can have fun at The Paard Yard! Merlin, the Great Dane, is bigger than 3 of our resident minis! He is a sweet boy and very loving. He is on his way back to Edmonton after frolicking in the California sun with his other 4-legged brother at 3-day eventing competitions. Along in the caravan is our furthest north visitor from British Columbia who also competed in California! Thanks for choosing to stay with us and safe travels home!

Busy afternoon and evening with 2 sets of travelers! One going west and the others going south! We had a full house/pasture! The wind was non-existent and it was a pleasure sitting on the back porch listening to calm, rhythmic, chewing of the pasture horses. Meet Pepper, Stetson and Mishka! I didnā€™t get the puppy names, but it was a full house for a few days! Horses were happy to stretch their legs and just relax after quite the trek through several western states helping their owners fulfill a bucket list to trail ride in every state! The Paard Yard Olympics were a huge success thanks to our amazing competitors, show moms/husbands, clinician, judges and announcer! Nothing in the horse world is ever possible without community support, excitement and the love of the animal. We were all having so much fun during the day that I forgot to take pictures of the event! šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø. Luckily, one of our Top Fans, Sara Graft, took some opening ceremony pictures for us. Thank you to everyone who participated athletically or volunteered their time. Yā€™all are rock stars and I am very proud of everyone trying something new and unusual!
