🚨 Pet Health Alert: Confirmed Tularemia Cases🚨
Local health officials have confirmed Tularemia (Rabbit Fever) in the area (Cascade, Mt to Craig, Mt). This disease can affect dogs, cats, rabbits, and even humans.
⚠️ What to Watch For:
• Fever, lethargy
•loss of appetite, vomiting
• Swollen lymph nodes or abscesses
🐶🐱 Pet Owners – Take Precautions:
✅ Keep pets leashed and away from wild animals
✅ Avoid contact with dead wildlife
✅ See a vet immediately if your pet shows symptoms
🐾Outdoor cats pose a higher risk of becoming in contact with the disease. Rodents are the number one carrier for Tularemia.
🧑⚕️ Tularemia is zoonotic – it can spread to humans. Stay vigilant and protect your pets and family.
