These adorable 14-week-old Sphynx kittens made their first visit full of curiosity, cuddles, and just a little bit of kitten mischief. 😸✨

Because they don’t have a fluffy coat to absorb oils, their skin can get oily faster than other cats. During Rory’s visit, she received a full nose-to-tail exam along with a jugular blood draw—an important part of preventative care that helps us understand what’s going on beneath the surface.

So what’s happening here?

A jugular blood draw is when we collect a small blood sample from the vein in the neck. It’s often the preferred method because it:• Provides a clean, high-quality sample• Is quick and efficient• Reduces the need for multiple attempts

You’ll see Aliyyaa gently but securely holding Rory to keep her comfortable and still—this helps make the process smooth and safe. Meanwhile, Dr. Blaire performs the blood draw with precision and care.

Along with this, a full nose-to-tail exam includes checking:
