Scrappy Doo and Lucky Charm lost their home due to a death in the family; the boys are completely bonded so we had to find a home that would take both of them. Laura and Joe discovered them all the way from NH, went through our process and hired pumbaspawspettransportation to bring the pair east! The boys have settled in well and are enjoying walks through the neighborhood, meeting other dogs and even a kitten relative! Scrappy and Lucky are spoiled with lots of toys and cuddle time and sure do enjoy couch time and sleeping with their parents in bed. The family had lost a few dogs the past few years and having the boys in the home feels great. Everyone looks forward to watching them frolic in the snow and many other adventures. A huge thanks to the family for adopting from us and financing their trip east ♥️

Pugberto, 9 years old, was found on the streets and promptly impounded way down in Imperial County. They don't get much adoption traffic down there so they often call us for help if a pug arrives. A HUGE thanks to our volunteer, Jeff, for making the looong trip down to help save Pugberto. As you know, pugs come in all shapes and sizes and Pugberto is definitely on the larger side; he weighed in at 33 lbs! He is a mellow dude that absolutely adores people and craves human affection; he is also good with other dogs, never taking the lead but a pug who gets along with all types. His life couldn't have been pleasant surviving on the streets, so we hope a person or family is ready to show Pugberto the good life and help erase any bad memories he may have. Antonee, now 'Gonzo', was a stray who was impounded and we were happy to rescue him. Lucky boy went home a month later with Seth and Raychul and after a bumpy start due to a cough, he is feeling better and his personality is starting to shine. Gonzo is loving, attentive, curious and adorably goofy. He and his brother, Fozzie Bear, get along well and now they are one big happy family ♥️.

Minnow, a 7 year old female, was recently relinquished to us as her owner could no longer care for her. Minnow spent most of her life outside so she was suffering from fleas and hotspots but all that is under control now. Minnow has great energy and enjoys the company of cats, other dogs and especially people. She would fit in with any household and is looking forward to enjoying some of the things in life she probably never experienced before. Marta was found on the street and the person to whom she was chipped no longer wanted her. She wasn't in the best of shape; she needed a dental, treatment for a skin infection and she needed to be spayed. We were able to take care of all of that so she was ready when Katie & David came to adopt. Her new parents have reported that every day Marta (now 'Birdie'), gets more comfortable and they can't imagine someone abandoning her and not wanting her. Birdie is so loved now and we are sure she has never looked back and is enjoying her new life being spoiled and adored.

Tansy is 9 years old and it seems like she has been neglected her entire life 😔. She was out on the street alone before being impounded and when we rescued her, Tansy's skin was so badly infected the vet estimated her pain and irritation to be a 10/10 (see last few photos). Poor girl was so itchy she would cry. She also had dry eye and bad teeth; it's been 17 weeks so far and she's finally improving. Tansy will never have a beautiful coat but her skin is at least softening and she is no longer itchy. Tansy may be 9, but she has incredible energy and is a curious little girl; always needs to see what's going on and she likes long walks and play sessions. Tansy likes to run playgroups with other dogs and, like most pugs, is very affectionate. She really is a gem--read more about Tansy and apply here https://www.pugnationla.org/adoptable-pugs/tansy/
