Please help us welcome Dr. Ivan Grechanichnko to the Quail Ridge Animal Hospital Team! 🎉🎉

Dr. Ivan decided to become a veterinarian very early. Fascinated by biology and chemistry in high school, he initially dreamed of becoming a biologist but was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine after reading "All Creatures Great and Small," written by British veterinarian James Herriot,

Dr. Ivan earned his veterinary degree in Russia and gained experience in general practice and large emergency hospitals in Moscow. He also provided house-call services for families unable to bring their pets to a clinic. Along the way, he developed experience in neurology and orthopedics. After moving to the United States in 2022, he completed the required licensing examinations within three years and subsequently became fully licensed in Nevada.

His current clinical interests include internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. He enjoys helping families understand their pets’ health and treatment options and regularly pursues continuing education through conferences and hands-on training. Dr. Ivan has a special affection for cats and an understanding of their unique needs. He takes a gentle, patient approach to examinations, aiming to minimize fear and stress.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Ivan enjoys photography, studying history, and hiking and camping with his family. His family also includes Popsicle, their adopted shelter cat.

More walks. More couch cuddles. More mornings waking up with them by your side. ❤️🐾

As our pets get older, every moment together feels a little more meaningful. While we can’t stop the aging process, proactive veterinary care can help support their health, comfort, and quality of life along the way.

Regular senior checkups and recommended diagnostics can help identify health concerns earlier, giving you and your veterinary team more opportunities to manage them.
