I’ve been kind of quiet over here.
Unfortunately, our family lost its patriarch farmer two weeks ago. My dad was the reason people say “they don’t make them like they used to.”
He was hard-working, athletic, strong, smart, and humble. And so funny if you really knew him. He was the epitome of the American farmer. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build or fix. He taught me more things than I could possibly count and made me the beast that I am today 😜
So although I am immensely sad, I am also immensely grateful to have been given the dad that I had. I know he wouldn’t want us wallowing, so I’m still here on the farm amongst all my animals and kids taking care of business the way he always did.
Things on the farm will never be the same without him but there is peace here in the land and the life and the people he loved ❤️
